Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
2 years in running on this one for Thanksgiving. Very rich but yummy. This year it was the only handmade dish @ our celebration. We had leftovers but I made extra anyways. I was excited because then I got to come home and eat more of it. This is my new go-to dish for what I bring to our Thanksgiving meal.

Apple and Brown Sugar Corned Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
This was the best Corned Beef recipe ever. Everyone in the house including 5 guys over for band practice ate this one up. Most of them hated Corned Beef but after this they have asked that I make this every year for St Pat's day. It's a keeper

Classic Fried Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
I didn't add the egg because I realized after I cooked the bacon that we didn't have an egg. This was super yummy. Even better the next day. It's missing something and none of us could put our finger on it but believe me I will be making this again and again

Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
Everyone loved this...even my 11 yr old who hates pot roast. I added minced garlic and onion/mushroom soup mix to all the other dried ingrediants. I also sprinkled worchestershire on the roast before I added baby carrots and pototoes. Put in on low for 5 hours and they switched to high for 1/12 and it was wonderful. Will be making again!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
I marinated in the sauce for half the day and added minced garlic. I covered in foil for the first 30 minuted and then poured out the liquid. i made a double batch of the sauce with minced garlic and diced onions in it put on the chops. I put back in for 15 minutes uncovered. I then broiled them for another 5 minutes. My kids who are picky eaters ate them up. will be making them again

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
We always make sweet tea but this is by far the best I have ever made. taste a lot like McDonald's tea which I crave. the pinch of baking soda really does change it for the better. will always make my tea like this from now on

The Best Chicken Fried Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
this is the first time i've ever made chicken fried steak and it was wonderful. i used top sirloin steak since this is all i had and i beat it til it was really thin. i added garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley to the flour mixture. i had a lot of flour left so this is the flour that i used to make the gravy. added a little bit of sugar to the gravy also. served it with mashed potato's with the skins still on, corn, and cole slaw. will make again!!

I have made this twice now and it is a huge hit every time. I make it with 6 eggs instead of 4 but other than that I don't change a thing.
