Kim's Eggnog Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
Made this for New Year's Eve party. Likely the best cheesecake I've ever made. And no cracks! Had to bake it a wee bit longer than in the recipe, but it was absolutely perfect! I whipped whipping cream with a whisk by hand (yes it takes longer, but it doesn't break down and turn back into watery weird stuff and lasts for days) and used a piping bag to decorate the top and then grated a wee bit of fresh nutmeg on top of the whipped cream. To die for! Thanks for the recipe!

Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
Lord Love A Duck - Amazing. Best Banana cake I've made in a long long time. Not dry at all! My husband doesn't like nuts, so I used coconut. Wow... This is a keeper. Thank you very much for posting it!

Canadian Bacon Breakfast

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2007
These do taste good, but you can't say they are from Toronto. We actually don't have Canadian Bacon in Canada. We have to go to the U.S. to buy it. The closest we come is something called Pemeal Bacon, which is not really close. These are good even after I drive 1 hours to Niagara Falls, NY to pick up the bacon...

Amber's Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2006
Kudos, KREALTOR! This has been a pet peeve of mine forever! It seems as if a person can't get their own recipe published, they do it in a review of one that's close to theirs. Personally, we tried this sesame chicken - and our family adored it. Keep reviewing KREALTOR, and Amber - thanks for a great recipe. Its great just like it is

Tried it and absolutely loved it. The family has requested it again! Jill - you said there was a lot of room to mess with the recipe. It is great just like it is! Thanks for sharing this with us.

Wow - Made two cakes, stuck one in the freezer so we can have some great rhubarb after the season ends. It looks as good as it tastes. This is a definite keeper! Thanks very much for sharing, Neris.

Rhubarb Custard Pie I

Reviewed: May 1, 2005
My Mom found this recipe when she first got married in 1938. It was from the "American Woman's Cook Book" which is an old 3" thick green book that has seen better days, but is still in my cupboard. The rhubard pie is just as good now as it was in 1938. The only hint I can tell you is to add a tablespoon or so of flour and one of sugar in the bottom of the pie crust before you add the filling. Mom said that keeps the crust from getting soggy. Now I have to go out and find some rhubarb. I NEED to make this again.

Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2005
Made two of these after Christmas dinner. I'm ready to make another turkey just to make this again. I used a sour cream pastry, and the best part is being able to throw in whatever vegetables you have around. This is a definite make again recipe. This was amazing! Linda, thank you for sharing.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2003
I've been making this salad for a few years now. Even my daughter, who dislikes broccoli more than you can possibly imagine loves this salad. As she puts it, she would rather walk naked down Main Street rather than eat broccoli. I add chopped peppers (every color I can get) and it looks a lot more holiday like. What a wonderful way to munch your vegetables!

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini Deluxe

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2003
Made this tonight with Turkey. An amazing way to use up turkey leftovers. Didn't have celery or bell peppers, but added a few green beans to compensate. It is a definite keeper. Thanks, Doris, for sharing.

Chicken Casserole Del Sol

Have made it a couple of times now. It makes so much you can divide it and freeze. I usually use "stir fry" style frozen vegetables. Its a definite keeper.
