Prime Rib Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2007
This recipe is wonderful. I prepared the prime rib roast in the morning and the marinade worked all day. After soaking several hours we put it on the rotisserie in the BBQ and it turned out beautifully. We enjoyed it with roasted garlic baby potatoes and blanched green beans. A delicious meal, a wonderful recipe. Thanks!

Hungarian Goulash II

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2006
Delicious, Rich and Easy! Made this for dinner last night.. got home late from work and it had cooked for 11 hours on low. The meat was so tender it just melted. The sweet / tangy gravy was delicious over egg noodles. Added a dollop of sour cream for appearance but didn't need it for flavour. I will definitely make this recipe again. Loved it!

O'Brian's Potato Casserole

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
This recipe is so simple and delicious it is insane! I have made it 3 times now and to each meal it has been perfect. It is an inexpensive, easy addition to a meal, or a quick and simple main course with a salad (vinegrette dressing would be ideal. Give it a go.. it's yummy!

Sticky Buns II

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
These buns have changed my life! My brother has always loved cinnamon buns. SO, I made these to bring to a visit to his home. He smelled them before he found them.. the smell alone made him smile at me with that "I love you sister" smile. He loved them. The entire family loved them. I am now crowned the "queen of sticky buns" in this crazy family of mine!

These cookies are fabulous! I have made them several times now and they are always perfect.. soft and yummy on the inside, crunchy and well formed on the outside. I've made them with toasted almonds, raisins, dried apples, chocolate chips.. you name it and I have tossed it in, and this recipe never has let me down. Go for it.. You'll be a superstar!

Candied Kielbasa

Don't really get the big deal about this recipe. Followed the instructions EXACTLY and was completely underwhelmed by this appetizer. My guests didn't comment one way or another.. wouldn't make it again.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
Well... how boring am I? All I can say is this recipe is fail proof.. Easy, delicious and perfect! Novice bakers should start with this one. I took one batch, divided batter in 3 and made cheese, raisin and blueberry scones. Fresh out of the oven, a little butter, fresh coffee, sunshine in the kitchen.. the perfect breakfast! Enjoy!

Real Hummus

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
Brought this to a party with all different types of people attending.. was worried it might be too "exotic" but it was a huge success. People with very conservative taste buds asked me first.. what is it?.. then.. it is hard to make?...and finally... can I have the recipe? I had doubled the recipe and brought my empty dish home.. Thanks!

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
Followed this recipe to a "T" and a cheap piece of tough beef came out as tender as premium cuts. Served it with horseradish mashed potatoes, sauteed leek and a green salad with balsamic vinegrette.. It was a perfect meal! Will definitely make this one again...

Honey Duck

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
Great recipe.. would use it again. Made a couple of revisions that I think really enhanced the flavour. First, I added mango chutney to the honey / orange glaze. There was a hint of the exotic that my family really liked. Also, I turned the duck over (breast up) about 45 minutes before finished in order to have a lovely dark skin presented on the platter. Oops, one other thing.. I totally filled the cavity of the duck with orange and squeezed the cooked orange juice onto the meat before serving. Thanks!
