Hungarian Mushroom Soup

This was fabulous - deserving of its high rating. Made a few changes - I put the onions through the food processor before saute-ing and after saute-ing the mushrooms with the onions - I put half the mixture through the food processor - then followed the recipe as indicated. It made a very elegant soup.

Fragrant Chicken Curry

This was terrific tasting. We really enjoyed in our home, serving it with a nutty rice pilaf. Added about 4 tablespoons on flour to thicken the sauce and let it simmer for 30 minutes. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly. A keeper in our home.

Baked Orange Roughy Italian-Style

This recipe was great as written - I used REALLY big pieces of Orange Roughy and ended up broiling after 20 minutes of baking didn't do the trick - and it really helped both the look and the taste.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

This is a very easy recipe and very tasty. I scooped out some of the sauce and reduced it to serve with the pork. I also used regular pork loin and cut it into three pieces and cooked for 6 hours on low.

Chutney Baked Brie

Oh my! This was SO well received at a recent dinner party. I used curry and mango/papaya chutney from Sunny Carribee, a Caribbean spice company with cashews. A keeper for certain.

Daddy's Fried Corn and Onions

Easy,easy,easy. I used frozen white corn, onions and red peppers and it turned out great. The perfect side dish for meatloaf and potatoes.

Curried Cumin Potatoes

We really enjoyed this recipe - my husband did in particular. I used pre-packaged diced potatoes with onions and made them in a snap. Great as a side dish with slow cooker pork.

Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Excellent soup. I simmered it for two hours to thicken it further and enhance the flavors. I also added chopped ham and used frozen corn instead of canned. It was great with corn muffins!
