Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 29, 2006
These were really good! I didn't have the chocolate chips, so I went ahead without them. They were a hit!! ( I did cut down on the sugar a bit, and they were just perfect.)

Vegetable Lo Mein

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
Great recipe! As suggested I omitted the honey (the hoisen is sweet enough) and it had the perfect amount of sweetness. I added lots of other veggies and chicken. I will make this again.

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2006
This was awful. Nothing restaurant about it. I followed the recipe and it tasted like nothing.

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
Yummy!! The whole family loved it. Probably because it didn't have that fishy taste. I didn't have any wine vinegar so I used balsamic vinegar.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
for some reason the consistency of these was off. They were too thick (like pancakes), I had to add some water to the batter.

Dill Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2006
This is a good dressing. I used olive oil in lieu of the veg. oil, I also used balsamic vinegar in place of the red wine vinegar. I also reduced the sugar to 1 tsp. I will make this again.

Couscous with Mushrooms and Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
I was looking for a new way to do couscous and the whole family really liked this recipe. The only thing I did differently was changed the mushrooms to button mushrooms.

Authentic French Meringues

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
These were really nice. I used about 3/4 of the recommended sugar. Mine only took about 2 hours to complete. I will make these again!

Best Ever Split Pea

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
This was decent. I was unsure as to what "salt free seasoning blend" meant, as it was very unspecific. I added parsley, salt and pepper. Don't think I'll try it again though.

Real German Baked Apples

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
It was difficult to stuff the apples after only having cored them, so I used my apple slicer/corer which simplified things. I was sure not to press it completely through so as not to have individual slices of apples, but rather a 'flower'. I stuffed them and them and pressed them shut. I kept them in a little longer just to make sure the egg was cooked (I have a thing with raw eggs). The mixture was not very tasty. Could've used a full tbsp of sugar (at least), and I'm not even a fan of sweet things!

Japanese Ginger Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2006
This was quite nice. I just poured it over a simple salad and I liked the ginger, garlicky taste it added.

Butter Cream Frosting I

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
This is super yummy. My favorite part of a cake is the frosting, so I'm guilty of making this and just eating eat out of the bowl ;).

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
This was tasty. I too covered the chicken breasts in sour cream before rolling in bread crumbs...worked beautifully. Will definitely make this again.

Creamed Spinach

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2005
This was met with mixed reviews. My husband and I couldn't even swallow our first spoonful (yuck!), but our 2 yearold couldn't get enough. He finished his, then cleaned off our plate as well. I'll make this again......for him.
