Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
I have used the same chocolate chip cookie recipe FOREVER. I saw this and decided to try it. I made a half batch of this and a half batch of the old. The 'old' recipe isn't even done baking but the new is and I think I have a winner. These cookies are sooooo good! and they hold up really well. Easy to take to work, school, etc to share w/others. Don't break apart or stick to the baking sheet. Wow! I think I may be using this recipe from now on! Thanks!!! I'll have my husband and a few others do a side by side comparison to see which they like better but I have a feeling it will be this one!

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
Really good! I used natural peanut butter and it was a bit dry so I added a little extra oil to soften it up a bit and make it more creamy. I will definitely make these again. I also added some extra sugar because of using natural PB.

Eggplant Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
wow..super good. My husband made these tonight and they were very tasty. We have eggplant in our garden and have been trying to come up with new ways to use them. This recipe was definitely a hit. I was a little unsure when he said he was making eggplant burgers but they were very good and healthy! We topped them with fried onion, garlic mayo, heirloom tomato, lettuce, and poblano peppers. Based on the other reviews he microwaved them for less time than the recipe stated.

Buttermilk Honey Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
Really good. I followed another reviewer's advice and proofed the yeast with a 1/2 cup of water and a little sugar. I then reduced the buttermilk by 1/2 cup. I did have to add a little bit more flour and it seemed really sticky but I let it rise, punched it down and baked it and it was great. A few friends stopped over and they thought it was great. I will definitely make this again. This recipe is great alone or I bet it could be a really great base recipe too. I bet you could add sunflower seeds, oatmeal, etc.

Farmer's Casserole

This was really good. Mine took about 30 minutes longer to bake because of all the liquid. I think this is a great recipe--good as is or you can change it up by adding veggies, different cheese, hot sauce, etc.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Awesome! My parents and husband thought they were great too! My dad said they were the best cinnamon rolls he'd ever had. Him and my mom made me leave the leftovers with them. I made them without a bread machine and I doubled the frosting (you can never have enough frosting) and they were perfect!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Super Good! I did alter the recipe to make it healthier. I used 1/4 C oil and 3/4 C unsweetened applesauce instead of the 1 C of oil, 2 1/4C of sugar, and 2 C of whole wheat flour and 1 1/2 C all purpose flour. It was very tasty. Everybody that had some loved it. I'll definitely make this again!

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
Pretty good! Very quick and easy recipe! At first I thought it was a little odd to mix the graham crackers in with the peanut butter. It ended up being very good and I liked the crunch of the graham crackers mixed in with the peanut butter.

These were pretty good! I skipped adding the garlic butter to the top and I just added the minced garlic and a little garlic powder to the mix.

Triple Layer Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
I would rate them a 4.5. Very good, quick and easy. The only thing I would change would be too add more graham cracker crumbs. The crust was very buttery. Maybe 2 cups or a little more. I would also mix them in a bowl first and then press them into the pan. They were very tasty and I got lots of compliments on them.

Awesome. I use half of the butter that is called for. It is less greasy and better for you if you do this.

Glazed Apple Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
Soooo Good!! I gave them a 4 because I used butter instead of shortening and baked at about 375 10-12 minutes based on other reviews. The glaze is a little thin but I don't think i let them cool enough so it ran all over. I will definitely make these again and double or triple the recipe!

Chicken Breast Stuffed with Spinach Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
I made this for Valentine's day and my husband loved it. I did too. It was soooo good. I am not a huge blue cheese fan (he is) but it wasn't as strong as I would have thought. Next time I might use fresh spinach. Also I rolled it in crushed croutons and browned in bacon fat. Really bad for you I know but it was already in the pan and it turned out really good. We are health nuts most of the time anyways.

My fiance and roommate really liked them. I didn't like them so much because I wanted something more like sweet potato french fries. These were more like carmelized sweet potatoes.

This recipes was Awesome. I omitted the tomato sauce and I added some veggies (fresh or frozen work) about 15 minutes before the recipe was done so they didn't get too soggy. We had friends over for dinner and they thought it was really good.
