Crackers a la Yvette

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
Caution - Highly Addictive. I usually make a double batch of crackers with original amount of oil. We like to mix oyster crackers with a variety of the flavors of CheezIts such as smokey cheddar, pepper jack, and regular. We like things spicy too so I double the red pepper flakes and once added Frank's hot sauce to the oil (didn't really like the flavor that added though and won't do again). Between the salt and the oil, I hate to admit to liking these so much. Oh well. Grab a beer and a football game and we're good to go.

Pennsylvania Coal Region Barbecue

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
Hey Hezzy_tant_cook, do we have the same mom? I grew up with this and it is a family favorite passed on to my own grown children now. This is "bbq" in our house. I no longer live in PA so can't call it bbq any more because people expect something very different if I do. But it will always be bbq to me.

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
FABULOUS! I made this as written except used only 1 lb of salmon filet and did not have anough time to marinate the full 2 hours. I think I marinated it about 1 hour and then cooked on a charcoal grill on a cedar plank. I am pretty critical of my own cooking and I thought this recipe was wonderful. My measure is "would I be happy if I paid for this in a good restaurant?" My answer was YES! Salmon is one of the few fish the whole family will eat so we will up our fish intake with this recipe (budget permitting).

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2005
My two teenage sons who complain that we "always have chicken" actually ask for this recipe! It is by far one of our top favorites and is used regularly. I prepare it just as written. The chicken bakes up moist, tender and delicious.
