About this Cook
I am 29 years young and have been married going on 11 years. I have two beautiful children and take care of them as my full time job.
My favorite things to cook
Enchiladas and anything mexican.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Homemade noodles with chicken and mashed potatos.
My cooking triumphs
I made my enchiladas for my father-in-law and he ate the leftovers for lunch and dinner until they were gone. I was kind of proud of myself for that.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make this shrimp curry dish that my mother-in-law had passed on to me. I decided to make it one evening for my family and my other mother-in-law. It asked for "lots of Johnny's seasoning salt" what does that mean exactly. When it was ready and everyone was waiting to taste it we excitedly sat down piled our plates and yuck it was sooooo salty we couldn't even stand it. It was aweful. Needless to say I haven't attempted it again until I watch my mother in law make it.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
I don't think this is the best. To me it had a funny after taste/texture to it. I think that was due to the pudding but anyhow it made my mouth feel weird. The texture was very cake like yet very spongey soft and not very chewy at all. I don't think they have very much taste at all either. You definately need all those chocolate chips because it make a lot of batter. If you want them flat then I would press them down. I think if I made these again I might try only one box of cake mix and up the vanilla extract. Maybe add some oatmeal?? Sorry I wanted to really like them a lot but was unsatisfied with the results. I made this exactly as the recipe reads.

Surprise Burgers
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy. My kids, and husband loved this recipe. We are all pineapple lovers so I was anxious to try this. Loved it!

Cowboy Casserole
It was just ok to me. I definately could not serve the biscuits for leftovers because they were too soggy. It would be better with some green pepper and corn added to it and less bbq sauce. My husband liked it and said he would eat the leftovers for lunch but never did, so I think he wasn't too crazy about it either. Bummer..
