Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
I used turbinado sugar instead of white sugar, added 3 caps of orange extract to the dough, and rolled the cookie dough ball tops in turbinado sugar before placing on the baking sheet. People will rave about these.

Terrific!! I add a little cinnamon to the oats/flour mixture and used turbinado sugar. So, so good! I had my first and second sample with vanilla ice cream. Wow!

Naan

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
Guess what my dinner guest said? That this naan was better than the Indian restaurant naan we had a week ago. I made a slight change. I made pesto naan instead. I melted butter and stirred in pesto. There was more pesto than butter. As the bread finished cooking, I spooned the pesto mixture all over the bread. It was awesome with chicken coconut curry over rice with steamed broccoli, carrots, and cabbage.

Rosettes I

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
I have been wanting to make these for some time. This recipe did it. Bought the double rosette at Sir la Table, and gave it whirl. They were perfect, delicious, and so easy to make. I ate the first six! I added TWO teaspoons of vanilla (love vanilla!) and about a teaspoon of cinnamon. Tasty! The rest was the same. I want to experiment with different flavorings. Could get really interesting! I can't believe how many are in so few ingredients!! And they're light as air. Amazing! Thanks again so such a wonderful, tasty recipe. Thank you for this recipe and all the suggestions, too. It was wonderful to make such a lovely cookie with ease the first time! I chose a pattern that looks like a snowflake for my rosettes. These will be fun in winter especially sprinkled with powdered sugar for snow. I think visiting guest might find this a fun kitchen activity.

San Francisco Sourdough Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2008
I also used the same starter recipe, Sourdough II, which was about a week old. I omitted the onions but followed the rest of the recipe. Amazing! It was so delicious! I made one load and other half in rolls. I ate three rolls right out of the oven and had a breakfast sandwich in the morning. Wonderful flavor and texture!

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
Today I used one of the rolls I made for small, quick pizza snacks. Again, WOW! A little pizza sauce, cheese, toppings, and into the toaster oven for a quick pizza with a great crust!
