King Ranch Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2014
Great recipe with unlimited ingredient changes per your individual tastes. One comment; Doug B why don't you get off this site if you have noting constructive to say. Seems like you are only a lowly Troll. You have no hobbies, no interests, no picture, no cooking preferences, etc. so why chime in with your negative comment...without even trying the recipe?

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
@Irish Maiden..."Two lemons juiced" is specific and if 'your Mother' said it wasn't 'lemony' enough then add more lemon next time.

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
I leave the husks on. Grill 'em after soaking for the allotted time. When done I peel back the husk, remove silk and then roll the whole thing in mayo, instead of butter, and then roll in Cotija cheese that has been crumbled up good. Squeeze a little fresh lime juice on and OLE!

Grilled Delmonico Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
It is salty because the ingrediants almost all use salt i.e. Worcestershire, salt, steak seasoning and more steak sauce...don't get me wroong as they are all good but togeather they produce too much salt and...btw anchovies (salt) to boot...but it's a good recipe to start with just add one of the sauces...happy 4th

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
OK I tried these a couple of weeks ago and got hockey pucks. Followed the recipe, used butter and thought I was gonna chip a tooth on these petrified Big Daddy's...whoa! Then I tried them again with fresh baking powder (I thought maybe mine was dead) and boy did they work that time!! Whooooeeeeee. So make sure your baking powder is fresh. BTW I rolled mine out about 1/2 to 3/4" and next time will do the 'Full Monti" and go with an inch thick. They rose perfectly but that extra little bit will put them over the top. Thanks John, your old Motor pal, Vinny.

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
I am a professional caterer specializing in BBQ for the past 15 years. This is a great basic recipe for the stove top or crock pot. You might want to slow cook the pork with just some beer or broth (I prefer beer)and when finished remove the pork from the juice, pull the pork and add BBQ sauce. Depending on the amount of juice you may want to mix some back in to keep the pork very moist. I top this sandwich with our cole slaw. That's right, right on top of the pork. Yum

Original Homemade Italian Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
This really is a winner. I make enough for 60 people when I make it at my Elks lodge and they rave. I get my bread from a local bakery or from Philly. I substitute beer for the water and add some canned tomatoes, onion soup mix and garlic. I also serve it with provolone.
