Clone of a Cinnabon

I used half wheat flour and the other half bread flour. I also did it by hand and not in my bread machine and it worked just fine. These were superb, I made them into the rolls then let sit in the fridge over night, popped them right in the oven in the morning and they were just incredible. I had to put them away or they all would have been gone that night, the family LOVED them!

Buttermilk Pound Cake II

This came out so light and fluffy. It didn't need any frosting a simple syrup of fresh strawberries with a bit of sugar and it is delicious.

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls I

This was a great afternoon treat during Raider football! I didn't put on the icing since we just like them warm with butter. I did put butter on before the cinnamon sugar, since I always make mine that way. It was super having them ready to go, all I had to do was pull it out of the fridge and let it sit for an hour then bake, yummy!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

This turned out so creamy and delicious! I used 3 packages of cream cheese as suggested in reviews and used a cup and a half of it for the bottom layer, then added my pumpkin to the rest. I used a 10 inch spring form pan and it was just right.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

I was a little leery of making this recipe and not my usual one. But I am sure glad I did, it is so delicious, just like a caramel apple pie. I did use a bit more flour then stated and it worked just perfect! I poured all the caramel sauce over the apples in the pan then did my lattice crust and used a milk wash then sprinkled light sugar on top.

Plain and Simple Sourdough Bread

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

My family really liked this bread. It says it makes 3 loaves, but I just make 2. One loaf had a few chocolate chips in it since I am not a huge chocolate fan and I put a bunch in the second loaf for hubby and the kids since everything is better with chocolate for them! I used half brown sugar and half white and also used half bread flour and half whole wheat flour. Will make again, even adding some walnuts next time. Very delicious bread.

German Pancakes II

Brings back wonderful memories of my German Grandma. We used to switch between syrup, yummy home made blueberry, raspberry or strawberry and powdered sugar. Keeps it interesting that way.

Cream Cheese Squares

This is so easy and so good. I used all the cream cheese mixture cause we love cream cheese. I didn't pour on the butter tho, I just used a small amount and brushed it on then put the cinnamon sugar on top and it came out perfect. It's so good it doesn't last long.

Fabulous French Loaves

Wonderful french bread, nice and crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. I used my mixer to mix it instead of by hand and it was so easy and came out perfect.

Clark's Quiche

Clark is right! You HAVE to make 2! Hubby hates eggs but had 3 big pieces of this quiche! I followed the recipe except I used fresh spinach which I cooked down a bit with my onion, and didn't have too much for my deep dish pie pans, it was the perfect amount.

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

My first time making pumpkin rolls and they came out great. I used parchment paper on my pans and then the towel covered with confectioners sugar to roll them. They were very moist and delicious. I didn't have a problem with too much filling at all, but we love cream cheese, so it just may be a personal preference.

Monkey Bread I

Wow, this is wonderful. My daughter loved cutting up the biscuits and shaking them. This recipe is a nice replacement for cinnamon rolls and much easier. I used four 7.5 ounce cans of biscuits and followed the rest of the recipe except I use butter instead of margarine.

German Apple Cake I

Hubby absolutely loved this, he always wants apple cake for his birthday cake. Even tho it isn't his birthday I thought I would try it any ways and it is the best one I've ever made. I did substitute applesauce for half the oil and used half wheat flour as well.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Wow, I can't believe I could make doughnuts that tasted like store bought but even better! I even used a little bit of syrup in the glaze and it tasted just like the maple bar glaze, how delicious!

Cooked Eggnog

I personally don't like the whipping cream kinds of egg nog. This egg nog is the best and easiest. You can make it thin or thick as you like just by using half and half instead of milk. Make a double batch unless you are making it for just one person!

Baklava

My husband is Greek so I was extremely nervous to make this and have it not turn out as good as his mother's but it came out even better! The recipe has just the right amount of sweetness and the phyllo was crisp and delicious.
