Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

I followed the recipe because I wanted something simple & quick since I'm a working mom. I only added a bit of salt & pepper to add to the taste a bit. My kids LOVED this (and I did also)!!! There were no leftovers!!!

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Fantastic cookies! I used a devil's food cake mix & mint chocolate chips. I also added 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil & 1 Tsp. vanilla (as per other reviewers) to the mix. I used a tbsp. to scoop cookies onto pan & they turned out the perfect size for us. I cooked them for only 8-10 min. since we like them soft & gooey! Thank you for my new favorite cookie recipe!!!!

Sweet and Sour Smoked Sausage

Really great & quick. I took the advice of other reviewers & tripled the sweet & sour sauce & added pineapple chunks to the mix. I also added garlic & served over white rice. Everyone loved it. Thank you for a nice, easy meal w/ a change of our usuals!

Sweet Corn Tomalito

I'd never heard of this, but since everyone loves corn I thought I'd try it! It was a really good alternative to plain corn & everyone ate it. Even my picky one tried it. It was nice to try something different. Thank you.

Greek Pizza with Spinach, Feta and Olives

Made this recipe as directed, except I added a bit of mozarella. I didn't like the mayo sauce. It just had a weird taste, but that's just my opinion. I wish I would've gone with a red or garlic sauce. I think it has the potential to be a really great recipe, but not with the mayo. I will def. try it again minus the mayo.

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

I have made this for years & everyone loves it! The only changes that I make are using boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut in halves & I always taste the flour mix to make sure I approve of the taste. If it needs more salt or garlic, I just add it in small increments. It's just a great recipe.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Banana Muffins II

These muffins are great! I was looking for a recipe to use up a few bananas that were a little more ripe than we all like to eat here in the house. This was extremely easy & with ingredients that I already had. Like many other reviewers, I also added 1 tsp. of vanilla, 1 tsp. of cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp. of nutmeg to the mix. They were moist, delicious & flavorful. Thank you!

Pumpkin Casserole

This was completely fantastic! I followed the recipe completely except for the substitution of all purpose flour for self-rising flour since that's what I had on hand. I followed Shana4105's review directions & used: 1/2c. all purpose flour plus 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/8 tsp. baking soda. Everyone had seconds & thirds, even my pickiest child. It is sweet & I could see how it's more of a dessert for many, but it added just the right balance of sweet with a spicy meal. All in all an easy, different & delicious way to use pumpkin.

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

This was really great. I am sure the basic recipe is great, but I used suggestions from other reviewers. I boiled out the grease from the kielbasa before using it so it wasn't as heavy. I also sauteed the peppers in garlic, fresh ground pepper & onion prior to using it in the recipe. I added a bit of ground cayenne red pepper into the whole mix for a little kick. Even my kids enjoyed it! Thanks for a great recipe.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

I also followed other reviewer's advice & halfed the amount of potatoes & increased the ham. It came out so delicious! I didn't have the Parmesan cheese bread crumbs so I just crumbled some buttery round crackers on top. I agree with others & I don't think that the topping is needed. This dish is delicious & you have room to play with it & add add'l ingredients to your liking. Great recipe!

Butter Chickpea Curry

I absolutely loved this recipe (didn't change a thing) & even my children liked it. It's so flavorful! I served it with some white rice so it was a quick & easy meal, but not sacrificing taste or quality. Thank you!
