Fruit Punch

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
I have been making this for years. Everyone loves this. I've made changes here and there delpending on what I have at hand or what's on sale and found that you can add a can of frozen OJ to this. You can also leave out the pineapple juice if you use the OJ it just isn'a as sweet and If you don't have fruit punch tropical punch kool aid works just as well and for an adult party addind some wildberry schnapps or coconut rum is delicious. This also makes great smoothies if you have any fresh or frozen fruit

Chili Dog Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
Quick and easy and tastes good too! I didn't make any changes. I used Hormel chili with no beans. The bottom of my casserole was crispy not soggy like I expected. It was very good. As I put it together I thought it was gonna need another can of chili but it was fine as is.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
Very good. Took this to a Super Bowl party and got rave reviews. Only thing I changed was to add toffee bits and carmel sauce to the layers. I don't have a trifle bowl so I used a medium sized glass mixing bowl and had plenty with this recipe as is. Very tasty.

Coconut Cream Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
Very easy! Not as good as others I have had but it was very moist and thick. Not what I was expecting. I really didn't taste much of the coconut flavor at all. but it was good. Tastes better after sitting in the fridge for a while first.

Mountain Apple Cobbler

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
my mom makes this and it is delicious! it is very sweet. She did say the last time she made it she cut back on the sugar and we topped it with icecream. I didn't notice a diffrence but others said it cut back on the sweetness of it.

Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
This is very similar to a recipe I have been using for years. The only difference is I use water instead of chicken broth because it can be too salty and I don't use chili posder or bay leaf but I do add about a 1/2 cup of brown sugar. I don't usually cook my vegetables before hand I just throw everything in and slow cook for an hour or until the vegetable are tender. Just a couple ideas for something different for those of you who like this recipe.

Simple Time Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
followed this exact. For the butter I used spray so it would be easier to spread the mayo on top. I found this to be a nice change for pork chops and very easy. The pork chops were very juicy not dry and overdone. I will be making this again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
very easy to make and I will for sure make again. I have to agree with other reviews, 1 can of biscuits is plenty and for me it was even too much, I guess it depends on the size of the crock pot. They definately needed more than a half hour to cook mine were in for an hour and a half and I still found several that were doughy. I actually wasn't crazy about the flavor of the biscuits might try homemade next time or noodles. I added frozen broccoli and no onion and I did use the 2 cans of soup and 1 can of water . I had plenty of liquid. I added a little parsley and some pepper and garlic and a little onion powder onthe chicken before adding it to the pot.

Double Cheese Crab Dip

Very good. Quick and easy! I used imitation crab and it was fine. I left off the olives because we don't like them. Took it to a party and everyone liked it, we ate it with tortilla chips.

Cheddar Ranch Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2011
Very quick and easy! Everyone loved this even my husband who doesn't like bacon. I used real bacon bits and I doubled this recipe for a cookout but found that I only need about 4 and 1/2 oz. of bacon bits instead of the 6 oz. Other than that I didn't change a thing. We ate it with taco chips and pita chips and celery. I am sure to ake this again and again. Great for football parties!

Toll House Crumbcake II

I found this to be just ok. It needed more topping I think and maybe some of the topping mix in the middle. It didn't go over well with my family.

Green Grape Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
This is so good. I have yet to meet anyone who didn't like it. I have added apples for a little something different and I have made it without the nuts( my kids don't like nuts) It was great either way. A friend made it with the Splenda brown sugar and I couldn't tell a difference. Very quick and easy great on a hot Summer day.
