Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
I used this recipe as a base, but made a few changes along the way. I used chicken broth for the water and used the 2 minute method to soak the peas. I then put all the vegetables in, as well as cubed ham, and used thyme of the recommended spice. It wasn't very thick at first, but thickened as it cooled. Was great the next day, too. Try this soup. It is great!

Chocolate Snowballs

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2006
These cookies pack a powerful taste of chocolate. I made two different sizes - the smaller ones are definitely the right size. I will make these again and again.

Pizzelles II

The flavor of these cookies was great, but they are not the crisp, thin cookie I was expecting.

Spicy Apple Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2006
We really enjoyed this cake. It reminded me of the boxed cake mix "Snacking Cake" from long ago. My husband said to make sure I included this in my cookbook. Thanks for a great recipe.

Skillet Apple Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
We enjoyed this! My husband and son were wary, but said they'd like to have it again! I doubled the chicken and apple and used garlic powder instead of garlic salt. It was seasoned well and easy to make.

Ultimate Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2006
This cake came out fluffy and light - and with a great lemon taste. I used splenda for baking for the sugar - even the confectioners sugar - just put it in the blender until it was powdered! My husband, the real lemon lover of the family, and my son enjoyed this cake. I highly recommend it if you like lemon!

Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2006
"Add this to my list of favorites." This was what my husband said as he finished the first cookie and was getting another. Excellent! Only thing different I did was use Splenda for Baking.

First time I've made gingersnaps. Last recipe I'll ever need for them. These are great! Only thing different I did with the recipe was use Splenda for Baking. Thank You!

Cheesy Mexi-Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2006
This was really good. I made it in the early morning before work and baked it later in the day for a special lunch with an assistant. I added chicken and left out the chilis.

Italian Biscotti

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
I've been experimenting with biscotti recipes, lately, and this is by far our favorite! My husband took some to work and 2 people asked for the recipe. I put the dough into 2 large loaves - next time I'll make the loaves smaller, as the sliced pieces were a bit large. Make this; you'll be happy! Also - I used Splenda for Baking for the sugar.

Chicken Noodle Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
I made this last night and am very happy I did! The only change I made was to add a couple of spoons of "Better Than Bouillon Chicken Base." The noodles are more flavorful than what I usually make, and I use this recipe in the future. It is also very good the next day.

Anise Almond Biscotti

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
I made these at Christmas and really liked them. And I used Splenda for Baking instead of the sugar. I put all of the dough in a circular loaf on the center of the pan and baked them. When I sliced them, they were more like the biscotti in the coffee shops. I'll make them again!

Chicken Soup With Black Beans and Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
This is the best soup ever! I first made it when I was looking for a soup with a 'restaurant quality' soup base. This is definitly the answer! The broth is rich and full of flavor. The soup is great when made as indicated - don't change a thing!

Equal®'s Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
This is my husband's favorite after many trials of lemon meringue pie. I add a bit more lemon juice - probably about a 1/4 of a cup. I also use Splenda instead of equal - we think Splenda tastes better.

I like these! I made them using Splenda for Baking. They do not have a strong lemon flavor, which I like. I'll make them again.
