Grandma's Green Bean Casserole
I had to make a few changes to make this gluten free, and it came out fabulous. It is so much better than the dreaded cream o' mushroom soup goo version. I sauteed the onions first, and then eight chopped mushrooms, then added them to the sauce. I used two tablespoons of potato starch in place of the all purpose flour. I followed the directions, but used crumbled gluten free potato chips in place of the cracker crumbs. This is definitely a gluten free keeper.

Blackberry Syrup
Just made this with some berries I had in the freezer that were too tart for a cobbler; skipped the pectin. I used it in a gin martini with a lemon twist. Awesome! I plan to use it as a substitute for Grenadine, too. It tastes better and I'll avoid the high fructose corn syrup.

Ranch Dressing II
Love this dressing. I have to make it every time the guys come over. For a dip, I reverse the amounts of mayonnaise and sour cream i.e. one cup of sour cream and a half cup of mayonnaise. Also, I use 1/2 teaspoons of salt and pepper. This makes a great dressing for pasta salad. Nobody would ever want to go buy the bottled goo ever again after trying this ranch dressing.
