About this Cook
I drove charter bus for 20 years and have tasted a wide variety of foods during my travels. I have tried a lot of different recipes (some I tried to duplicate from the foods I've eaten) and most all of them have been more than edible. I am not affraid to try new things.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken. Fish (except salmon). Soups. Slow cooker meals. Quick breads. Brussels sprouts (love them!).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday cooking. Camp grilling.
My cooking triumphs
Turkey breast in the slow cooker. Chicken cheese steak sandwiches. Holiday rum balls. Christmas cookies.
My cooking tragedies
I was going to bake a cake for my wifes' birthday. Put it in the oven and started playing games on the computer. 2 hrs later, the house was full of smoke and the detector started "singing". We went out for dinner.

Pumpkin Bread II
Absolutely wonderful! The extra cinnamon leaves a very light taste but not at all overpowering. I am currently making my 4th batch for this year and it still may not be the last. I make mine without nuts and it is so moist and heavy, noone cares about NO NUTS. Love it!!!!!!!!!

All-Day Apple Butter
I used 3 lbs of apples and 1 cup of sugar. Cored and sliced the apples, cooked them for 10 hrs covered and 2 hrs uncovered then ran them thru the mill(to remove the skins. The best I ever had, even better than the Amish make.

Simple Tuna Melts
Not bad at all. But the peppers have to go.
