Make-Ahead Vegetarian Moroccan Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
This won a prize at the chili party I made it for, but my husband didn't like the sweetness. To each his own. I loved it!

Honey-Wheat Sunflower Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
This is great bread. I used a breadmaker on the dough setting - just tossed all the ingredients in without any proofing in the order of wet, then dry, then yeast. The baking directions are spot-on. Flavorful bread that slices perfectly and has a lot of substance. Only needed about 2.5c bread flour in the machine. Next time I may use a little more wheat flour than this calls for.

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2011
I added a handful of shredded cheese, some dill and two tablespoons of butter on top. It was delicious and a nice change from my normal bread machine breads, but maybe I just prefer yeast breads in general. My husband loved it with chicken salad. Used a bottle of Irish Red leftover from a party.

Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
Delicious! I made the adjustments suggested by others - 1/4c honey, 2c wheat flour, 1.2 tsp salt. Made this on the dough setting in the breadmaker, then put it in a regular 9x5 loaf pan and let it rise for an hour, baked at 350 for just over 25 minutes in a pre-heated oven, and it was perfect!

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
Delicious. Heavy consistency as I had hoped, but still great for sandwiches. I made one loaf and 8 rolls that I will use for sandwiches (used the dough setting on the machine, then baked in the oven).

Bacon and Date Appetizer

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
These are very good! I used up the dates I had leftover from date nut bars. My husband was skeptical but quickly won over. I will make these again!

Mediterranean Puff Pastry Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
My husband really loved this. I thought it was a little tangy for my taste, I would probably leave out the sun-dried tomatoes personally, but our guests all raved. I used a half sheet of dough for each one, and they still turned out HUGE.

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
The perfect macaroon. I made them bite-sized, so they're not too gooey or filling. Just right. Used half almond extract, half vanilla as suggested. Thank you for the recipe!

Best Teriyaki Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
This is really good. I use it whenever I run out of teriyaki sauce for my stir-fry veggies. The best part is that it's made of all ingredients I always have on hand!

Best Breakfast Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2007
These are so great! They just disappeared! I used half cocoa, half flour, and substituted pumpkin for the oil. They were just like chewy, double-chocolate cookies but good for you!
