Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2006
My guests enjoyed this dip very much, and filled up on it to the point where they could barely eat anything else. I didn't eat so much of it. I found it to be a little salty and light on chicken. Next time I will add more chicken (shredded this time) and less cheddar cheese.

French Cafe Summer Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2006
This was very good, but the quantity is huge. That wasn't a problem for us because we just continued eating it through the week. Still tastes good the next day although the potatoes do get soggy. The other vegetables stay crisp. As good as this salad is, I think the dressing needs some zip. I may tweak it with some vinegar next time I make it.

To Die For Garlic Feta Pate

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
Sorry, but I don't quite get the rave reviews. I wanted to enjoy this because I love feta and I love anchovies. But this just didn't do it for me.

Not bad, but not great either. A little bland for my taste.

Tri-Mustard Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
This was a wonderful addition to my Easter meal. The trio of mustards complemented the ham beautifully. Much to my husband's dismay, there were no leftovers, so I'll have to make this dish again very soon. Can't say enough about it - it was just so good!

Paige's Feta Slaw

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
I don't think this recipe needs any tweaking. I made it exactly as directed and it turned out super. It was one of the sides I served this year with my Easter ham. Everyone commented on how delicious it was and there were no left overs. Thanks for an easy winning recipe!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2006
A little too sweet for my taste, but still very good. Had to watch my chips carefully because they browned up really fast in the oven. Thought they would be more flavorful, but next time I'll try more cinnamon.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2006
I had to make a couple of changes and this recipe still turned out excellent. Since my supermarket didn't have fresh shrimp I had to use the frozen cooked shrimp (I defrosted them by allowing them to soak in cold water for about 10 minutes). I also used more garlic than called for because we LOVE garlic. I reduced the baking time to ten minutes. Well, it was fabulous! The mustard and the lemon gave it the perfect flavor. I would not hesitate to make this again. Not only did it taste great, but it's easy and takes no time at all to make. Everyone in my house was thrilled with it.

Jalapeno Poppers I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
Dangerous to make if you don't wear gloves (I didn't) and value your eyes (I should have read all the reviews). Not sure what else I may have done wrong. I like jalapeno poppers and so I expected these to be hot and spicy, but these were hot and spicy to the point of comedy.

I was so surprised at how well this went over with the cabbage-haters in my family. It's frequently requested and because it's inexpensive, filling and very good, I make it often.
