Southwestern-Flavored Ground Beef or Turkey for Tacos & Salad

For a taco mix this was incredibly bland. Made according to recipe and it just didnt have much flavor. With a ton of doctoring might be ok but just not worth the trouble.

Buttermilk Syrup

This stuff is fantastic! Definitly make sure you use a very large sauce pan since this syrup boils up pretty high.

Apple Crisp II

Followed other recommendations and reduced water by 1/2, tossed apples in the brown sugar/flour/cinnamon mixture instead of sprinkling on top, added a 1/4 t. of nutmeg to that mixture as well. Lastly cut in butter instead of melting at recommendation of others. It was AMAZING. Seriously I could eat like 3 bowls full.

World's Best Lasagna

Simmered sauce for about 30 minutes vs. entire 1 1/2 hours. Used uncooked lasagna noodles for layers and cooked for 45 min-1 hour and rested for 10 minutes. Turned out perfect.

Beer Dip I

Good but not great. Wierd flavors especially straight out of the fridge. Definitly better after it comes closer to room temp. Pull out of fridge about an hour before serving for best taste. I would give it 3 1/2 stars if I could. If you are a real beer lover you will like it if you are just ok with beer may not be your favorite.

Belly Burner Chili

Used italian sausage as directed and followed directions to a t but honestly if you took out the beans it's spagetti sauce not chili. If you want chili this isn't it if you want spagetti sauce this is a good base recipe.

Dump Cake IV

Super easy dessert. As others said it is more of a cobbler than a cake but still tasty, especially with some vanilla ice cream. I did melt the butter to just pour on as others have mentioned. Also about 15 minutes from end of cooking added some shredded coconut on top. Delicious!
