BBQ Chili Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2007
Very easy, took about 40 minutes. Definately use cumin when cooking the turkey, maybe even some of the chili powder. I added some red pepper flakes, we like it hot, and could have used more. Also consider using a jalepano. If you double the turkey, be sure to add more onion, tomato sauce (or one 6oz can tomato paste with a full can of water,) bbq sauce, corn and green bell pepper. I used whole wheat pasta and couldn't even tell. It was excellent! My fiance had 3 servings, and there was leftovers!

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
I would imagine that reviewers who say this is not like any kung pao chicken they've ever had have never had authentic kung pao chicken. I have a recipe from China that is quite simillar to this and it's amazing, I order kung pao every chinese restaurant I go it and ALWAYS think it's disgusting. I have not made this recipe, but if you're looking for authentic, not american, this is close.

Kentucky Bourbon Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
These are amazing. It's the only way I like sweet potatoes. When I used 6 I needed to make more sauce, but I usually half or third the amount of potatoes and it's perfect!

Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Excellent! I made this for my fiances birthday party, along with my first turkey! He loved it even though he's more of a processed cheese broccoli casserole kinda guy (which I can't do.) It was super easy. I used fresh broccoli and forgot I was halving the recipe by the time I got to the garlic salt, but it was perfect. A group of mid-late 20 somethings ate the whole thing!

Creamed Spinach with Jalapenos

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Very good! The crumb topping was WAY too much, and it's definately better as a dip than an actual side dish. Mine was SPICY! and delish!

Japanese-Style Sesame Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Excellent! A very easy, quick recipe that all enjoy. This was the first time I had cooked green beans, and I didn't trim the tips, which definately needs to be done.
