Loved these scones! My oldest son requested blueberry scones after tasting one at a bakery last week. As I do with many new recipes I want to try, I came to Allrecipes.com to find just the right recipe. I am so glad I did. After tasting just one, my son quickly told me he would eat the entire batch! (Of course, his eyes were bigger than his stomach.) I doubled the recipe, but made 30 smaller scones out of the dough. Instead of currants, I used frozen European (small) blueberries. I also just pulled off pieces of dough, as a previous reviewer mentioned, and I sprinkled the tops with Florida Crystals sugar instead of using the egg wash. I will be making these again, for sure.
