Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
Love this! I must say though that my family's favorite way to eat this is with steak instead of shrimp.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2009
This is really good. We made it once about a month ago for a small get-together and since then we've had several requests to make it and bring to other get-togethers. Must be good to have people specifically call and request that you bring it.

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
This was really good. Even my 2 picky teenagers were pleased with this. The blue cheese gravy was mild, so if you're a blue cheese lover, don't be afraid to add a little more. It was also super easy to make and will definitely be on the dinner table again soon. I think the gravy would be really good with steak too.

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
This dressing is fabulous! I make with buttermilk as I like my dressing a little thinner. I make big batches of it and keep it in a large mason jar in fridge. It doesn't stay around long at our house.

This was ok - nothing special. I'll make it again just because it's something different.

Spinach Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2007
I made according to recipe and refigerated overnight - turned out perfectly. I will make it again but add a little something - maybe real garlic. I'm going to try it with Italian sausage too, but it's very good with just the spinach. It's a great basic recipe that you could easily tweak to make your own.

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
These are yummy and so easy to make. I make them to put on salads and just to munch on. I make them just like the recipe says and have never been disappointed.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
This is my go-to meal when I have company to feed and want to impress. It is so easy to make that you can enjoy your company and not worry about ruining the meal. It always gets rave reviews. I serve it with long grain rice, bread and salad or steamed veggies. Absolutely love it!

Cranberry Hootycreeks

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2007
I didn't make the gift jars - just the cookies themselves. I love the cookies - they just might be my new favorite cookie. I think I'll make them again just to make sure...

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2007
My husband owns a coffee house and makes all his own baked goods. This is the recipe he uses and people just rave about his scones - he sells out daily no matter how many he makes! I can even make them when needed and I'm not a great baker.

Dog Treats I

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2007
My dogs love these! My 7 month old bloodhound stands at the edge of the counter and nibbles at the dough while I'm rolling them out - I can't keep him out of the kitchen when I'm making these. This makes enough to last about 1 week with two large, spoiled dogs. My dogs really ham things up trying to earn these treats - puppy training with the bloodhound is getting easier!

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
We make this soup often - a great comfort food! You have to be careful that the milk doesn't scorch on the bottom and it sometimes requires more salt. This is also good with chunks of ham instead of bacon. My whole family loves this soup - and we have some picky eaters!

Fresh Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
My husband and I like these cookies - the kids eat them, but they aren't disappearing as quickly as say choc chip cookies. I like the texture - soft in the middle, crunchier on the edges. I'm not big on sweets, so these are just right for me as they aren't overly sweet or sugary. This recipe is a keeper.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
These were really good cookies. I added a splash of vanilla and a small bag of chocolate chips. I'm not much of a sweets eater, but I can't walk past these without grabbing one out of the cookie jar. Nothing really special, but they sure hit the spot for me!

This is my husband's most requested item from his catering menu and this is the recipe he uses - of course he's a dumper, not a measurer - but this is his guideline. People absolutely love this stuff!
