I don't normally rate recipes I change but the base was good, I thought it had too much sugar & fat as written. I used 1/4 c oil, 1 cup applesauce, 1 tbsp podwered ginger, upped the cinnamon to 1 tbsp, 1 cup pupmkin flax cereal (any cereal would work), and 1 cup apple granola, 1 cup currants, 1/2 cup raw organic sugar, 1 cup stone ground flour, 1/4 cup flax seeds, 2 cups oats, salt. Also we are vegan so in place of the egg, I used 1 tbsp powdered flax seeds whisked with 3 tbsp water (whisk until mix gets thick), and in place of honey, I used 1/2 c lite pancake syrup. I baked in 9x13 pan for 15 min and they came out perfect!!! I can't wait to make different versions, a dessert one with peanut butter, pecans & chocolate chips is calling my name!!!!
