About this Cook
I am a very active person and really love going out, being silly and spending time with my friends. I somehow found myself in Britain with not much to do and a fully equipped kitchen all to myself. I live with two blokes who like my cooking but would rather prefer if I learned how to brew beer
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking dishes that have unusual ingredients and anything that sounds like a challenge
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mum never cooked a thing and my grandmother never showed how her wonderful things came to life
My cooking triumphs
I copied my boyfriend's mum's favourite recipes and became a cooking queen overnight
My cooking tragedies
Sometimes things tasted so weird noone could imagine what they were made of, my blueberry muffins exploded and I have an unfortunate tendency to change or omit ingredients in recipes with very variable results

Pecan Praline Cookies
I couldn't see the point of adding lots of butter and sugar to ready made biscuits but was curious to find out why everyone seemed to like these. My boyfriend liked them, I ate a few but can't imagine making them again. They were a tiny bit soggy and you just know that it's butter oozing out of them. I don't find the idea appetising for some reason

Tiny Tarts
They were easy to make and I really liked them. I just rolled the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and cut circles with a wine glass - no hustle this way.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
I really like store bought oatmeal biscuits but have never been able to recreate them at home. These ones tasted fine, but were rather flat and crumbly.
