A friend gave me some of this and it was the best French dressing I've ever had.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
This is the best banana bread ever. I used 7 bananas and made 3 medium size loaves. Not for those looking for a low cal, low fat bread, but if you want the best, this is it!!

Kids Favorite Meatloaf

Added some diced onions and diced bell peppers. Also added 2 Tbs Heinz 57 sauce.. Excellent basic recipe, easy to tweak to your own taste. Also great for stuffing bell peppers

Date Drop Cookies I

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
This made 32 big cookies for me. Very good and an excellent way to use dates. Cookies have a nice date taste, but not overpowering. I used 1 cup chopped walnuts. I will make these anytime I have dates.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Have been making these for 7 years, they are always very good. Light and tender. Usually served at a men's breakfast, no complaints ever. The full recipe makes about 48 pancakes using a 1/4 cup ladle.

Asian Style Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2006
I thought this was an OK meatloaf, not bad but not great. Added about a teaspoon of dry mustard powder to glaze and thought it was very good. Would make again but will keep loking for a great meatloaf.

Teriyaki Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
Excellent flavor, but after 24 hours of marinating a whole chicken it barely penetrated the meat. Will use on a batch of wings becauswe the flavor was so good.

Memphis Rub

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
Used this on a 12# brined, smoke cooked turkey and made a baste of butter and more rub. We all liked the flavor, but I may try a different rub next time and use the rest of this one on pork or cut up chicken.

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
Used this to brine a 12# turkey for the 4th of July. Followed directions exactly. Put "Memphis Rub" on turkey after rinsing and drying after 2 days brining. Refrigerated overnight and smoke cooked the turkey about 4 1/2 hours next morning. Made baste of butter and additional rub. This made a very moist, tender and delicious smoke cooked turkey. Will try a different rub next time. Reason for only 4 stars is because this was my first attempt at doing a turkey this way.

Best Buckwheat Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2006
Made a triple batch of these about 2 hours before cooking them. 1/4 cup batter per pancake was a little too much. This made about 26 or so 4" cakes. They didn't rise and get fluffy, but they were very, very tender. Hard to beat these served with homemade maple syrup.

Almond French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2006
The almonds added a nice crunch to the toast. Next time I will press them into the bread until they are flush, so that side will brown evenly.

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
Good, but more like a bread cinnamon roll than French toast. Mine didn't puff up like I expected it to. If I make it again, will add at least 2 more eggs, and use 2 cups half-and-half. The bread soaked up all the excess liquid as it set overnight.

Glo's Sausage Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2006
Made 1/2 batch, this would easily feed 6 people. I found it to be ok but probably only about a 3 1/2 star rating. It was interesting, but not quite what I want in fried rice. Thanks anyway.

Melt In Your Mouth Pie

Delicious and rich. Very easy and quick to make. This set up nicely after chilling in refrigerator. I used 1/2 cup coconut and 1/2 cup walnuts just because I like them. This makes a full 10-inch pie.

Apple Cranberry Relish

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2005
Made just a half batch and added 1/3 cup chopped walnuts to it. This is just excellent mixed 50/50 with cream cheese pineapple spread and spread on celery sticks. Try it, you'll like it!! Good as a side with baked ham. Will try later with chicken.

Eggnog Quick Bread

This just didn't have the taste I thought it would have. It wasn't bad, but just seemed to lack something. May try it again.

Very moist and tender. With a little tweaking this may very well be the world's best turkey. My family enjoyed it for Thanksgiving Day.
