1st time, I made as directed and it was delicious! Second time, I added pasta and left out the beans and it was even more delicious! This is a keeper!

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
I always like to prepare the recipe as written the very first time. And this, as is, is a very tasty treat (morning, noon or night!) I took it to a church breakfast and it was gobbled up within minutes! I had the foresite to keep several pieces out for myself of course! Next time I will add another cup or so of croutons to thicken it up a bit, and also some onions, mushrooms, etc, as mentioned in other reviews. Excellent recipe!

World's Greatest Vegetable Broth

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2006
the name of the recipe says it all. this was a very delicious broth. I basically diced my veggies pretty small to use in a stuffing later, so as much time in the oven wasnt needed overall, but I can tell you I used this broth for a goose brine http://thanksgiving.allrecipes.com/az/TrkyBrin.asp for Christmas dinner. The goose, the stuffing and the gravy (using the drippings from the goose) were eaten all on Christmas day.. no leftovers :(

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2006
I brined my Christmas goose with this recipe! It was exceptional! I made my own vegetable broth using this recipe: http://vegetarian.allrecipes.com/az/WorldsGreatestVegetableBro.asp. skimmed the veggies and use those for the stuffing and then used the broth for this brine. Both the stuffing and the goose were raved over! Second and Third helpings on Christmas day made sure there was no stuffing or goose left!

Since I made this cake the first time a few years ago, my brother had requested this cake year after year at most all family gatherings. Unique and delicious!
