Almond Buttercrunch Candy I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
These didn't turn out at all for me. I'm guessing my candy thermometer is off. I'm sticking with an easier recipe that I use that doesn't require a candy thermometer ... sorry!

Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Blue Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
These were good, but the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with almonds were by far the bigger hit at the party ... even the blue cheese fanatics prefered the "crunch" of the almond stuffed version. Good, but will stick to the other (which were easier to work with as well).

Bacon and Date Appetizer

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
Great appetizer that was a big hit at a tapas party that we threw. The pitted dates I used had holes large enough to sneak the almonds in, so cutting the dates weren't necessary. We only used 1/3 bacon slice per date, and they turned out well. This recipe is a keeper.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Perfect! An easy recipe that doesn't need any tweaking. I made 9 mini loaves with the recipe and they were ready in 30 minutes. Thanks!

Fudge Bonbons

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2005
These turned out great! We experimented and made some with almond kisses, some with mint kisses, and some with caramel kisses ... each turned out well and made a nice assortment in a small candy box for my daughter's many teachers (phy ed, art, etc.). It was an simple recipe that was easy enough for the eight-year-old to participate in, plus we doubled it without any problems. While we will make them again (I'm sure), I gave four stars instead of five because while good, I would not call them "the best".
