About this Cook
I enjoy cooking for friends and family. I've done all sorts of cooking events from birthday parties to weddings. I should probably open a catering company and charge for my services if I was smart enough but preparing the food ends up being my gift. I know that I am making good quality food prepared with heart and soul.

My favorite family cooking traditions
Cookies every Christmas with my sister. Sadly she moved out of state this year but we're hoping she can come home to continue the tradition around the holidays.

I have hosted several family dinners and did all of the cooking. I'd rather cook than clean up anytime!
My cooking tragedies
Only once when I first got married. A chicken, cheese, and pasta casserole that made my husband gag.

Soft Caramel Corn
LOL I can't stop smiling and giggling. If you are almost 10 months pregnant like me or otherwise hormonal and in search of something sweet, gooey and downright sinful than this is for you! I did make some minor changes based on what other people said about the flavor and things I just always add to my carmel corn but this was really really good! I think there are just a few too many food snobs on here. First I added half a teaspoon of salt and used salted butter. At the end I removed the carmel from heat and added some vanilla and a little baking soda (expands the volme for equal coverage and adds a lot of the salty flavor people said this recipe lacks) I will be making this again but because it makes so much I'll save it for the holidays or for when we have overnight guests. This will take a while to eat. Thanks for a yummy recipe!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Not chewy. I wasted al ot of dough because these were thin and crispy. I think they need more flour personally. Wanted to try something new because I didn't have everything I needed for mine. I learned the hard way just to run out to the store and get what I need to make mine.

Bologna Salad Sandwich Spread I
My grandma used to make this several times a year by the buckets full! It never lasted because we ate it all in a short amount of time. Don't use the sliced bologna. Use a ring bologna that isn't pickled. I use mayo and mix half with sweet relish and the other half with dill. I don't bother with the eggs. That's too much. Sandwich spread should be simple. Just the three ingredients and it's perfect! Slice eggs on your individual sandwich with mustard but you wouldn't put bologna on an egg salad sandwich would you? : )
