About this Cook
I'm married with two children.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook and experiment with recipes, new and old! Baking is my favorite but I like dinners too, especially ones that are quick, easy, and really good(slow cookers are a particular favorite!)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cookies and pies and breads, oh my! During the holidays I bake my brains out on the weekends, I love it!
My cooking triumphs
When I was 17, I worked for a chef that was invited to the James Beard House in NYC as a guest chef. I was able to "tag along" as his Sous Chef. What a rush! Hat's off to all of you who started and stayed Chef-ing! I decided I wanted more time for a family and a life instead...
My cooking tragedies
I can't stand it when I try a new recipe that totally flops... What a disappointment and waste...

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies
Not a very good cookie... sugar cookies are supposed to be sweet, and these were not.

French Dip Sandwiches
I thought it was rather bland, but the family really seemed to like it. Next time I'll add a bit more flavor to it.

Blueberry Pie
Good recipe. The pie was rather runny, but I think that was due to my oven (new Convection oven, we're still trying to get acquainted).
