Roasted Grapes and Carrots
I love carrots, and I love onions, and I love grapes, but this combo just didn't work for me. Individually the items were okay once salted(the roasted grapes were quite good), but together they seemed not to pair well. I am usually a very adventurous cook, but I will never make this again...before making my own final judgement though, I asked my husband and teenage children to try it and they all had the same reaction as I did. I actually threw it all away and started from scratch to make a different carrot dish to take to Easter dinner.

Sesame Noodles
liked the flavors quite a bit, though i agree it was a bit too oily and a bit too sweet. reduced sugar to 5TBS, oil to 4TBS. i have made this recipe 4-5 times now and i serve it room temp or cold. i make it early in the am and refrigerate it all day. the extra sauce is absorbed by the linguine as time passes. i have served with steamed snow peas, and have also added chicken. my kids and husband love it. this is a new summer staple at our home

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini
Followed advice of others and used low sodium broth,and half spicy/half regular sausage. Also, my kids don't like zucchini, so I used frozen itallian green beans instead, and hand-crushed canned whole tomatoes easily replaced fresh. I also used more basil than called for while simmering soup and reserved a little extra to snip onto soup in bowls to refresh the flavor. Someone commented about it not freezing well. The key to freezing any soup with tortellini is to make extra soup and reserve soup broth with all the veggies, etc. freeze as is without the tortellini added, and when you're ready to enjoy the soup again, simply thaw and bring to boil adding tortellini for the last 10 mins of prep.
