Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Very good pie, never did the lattice thing before but it came out great. Every one except my wife liked it but then she prefers a pie with no sugar at all. Thanks for sharing this one.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread II

Made this yesterday, one loaf is gone already, its really good. Im not usually a fan of banana bread but the chocolate chips changed my mind. I added an extra 1/2 cup of chips and accidently added an extra tsp of baking powder but it was fine. I will definately make this again, thanks....

Concord Grape Pie III

Very good reciepe, unfortunatly living on the north west coast real concord grapes are not easy to come by here. I had to use seedless concords, and these are rare here as well. If Id had the grapes from Naples NY where Im from this would have been perfect. Thanks for the reciepe

Apple Crisp II

This was very good and easy to make. I use Splenda in place of the white sugar, guess it might help a little. Ive made it a few times now, when I use MacIntosh I cut the sugar in half but not the brown sugar. I wait till the apples around home arent getting eaten fast enough and use whats left for the crisp. This doesn't last long at all.

Easy Pleasy Mac N Cheesy - US Navy Style

This was excellent, way better then any other mac & cheese I have had. The only chages I made were to add 1/3 cup of finely chopped fresh cilatro to the mix & grated a little cheddar cheese on top & crushed some italian season croutons since I didnt have saltine crackers on hand. I will definately make this again, makes me want to join the Navy.

Texas Pork Ribs

Excellent rub, use to just use BBQ sauce on my ribs, never again. I followed rub directions exactly and didnt find it too hot at all. Everyone here except myself do not like food very spicy and they all liked these ribs. I have made them twice and havent yet let them sit the full 8 hours in the fridge, bet they will be a 6 if I do, thanks for the recipe.

Best pizza dough recipe, I added 1 tsp oregano & 1 tsp onion powdwer to the dough. Nice crispy edge, browned underside, just the right mix.

Carol's Arroz Con Pollo

Made a few changes, used brown rice, had to double the amount of rice as this rice didnt swell and absorb liquid as well as white rice. Had to cook 40 min. to allow time for moisture to absorb. I doubled the saffron, used olive oil instead of vegtable. Pan was too shallow to ad the meat so I mixed it all in a baking dish for 15 min. at 350 and served. When rice didnt absorbe I had my doubts but this turned out great. Nice flavor, everyone asked me to make it again. I will be buying an oversized deep frying pan so I can leave chicken in while cooking.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Great mashed potato's and a nice treat not to be scrambling last minute trying to have them ready when meat is done. I used clean thin skinned white potato's with skins on and added chopped green onion. Made a full small crockpot, 2 meals for 4.

Absolutely Delicious Baked Root Vegetables

This was easy to make and excellent. I hate plain veggies and steer clear of Greek restaurants because I dislike plain baked veggies like they always serve. These were amazing, great flavor.I did add an onion, quarted and seperated to the mix. I will definately make these again.

Chef John's Italian Meatballs

Recipe yield was 31 meatballs for me. Used a small ice cream scoop so they were uniform size. Although not seared on the outside like pan fried they were very good and stayed together well in the sauce. Were going to do meatball subs, add some mozzerella with the left overs. Keep hands wet when shaping, makes them smooth and stay together. Will definately make them again.

Baked Chicken Wings

I gave this recipe a 5 because its the best baked wing recipe Ive had so far. I will admit ,deep fried are better but not that much and baked have to be a little better for ya with a lot less mess. I cooked them exactly as written except I left them in the sealed bag in the refrigerator an hour or so in the mix before cooking them. When they were just about done I heated a little of my Anchor Bar Suicide wing sauce I order from Buffalo NY. Shook them in the sauce in a tupperware covered bowl and dumped them in the plastic baskets lined with parchment paper and served with Maries Blue Cheese dressing and Celery. I will make these again when the wing craving strikes.

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

This is a great dish, made it last night exactly as written. The sauce is so good I can imagine using it in many other dishes. It was even good when it ran into the macaroni and cheese we had with it. Next time Im going to put the chops back in the sauce and cook for a few minutes to get them totally covered with sauce before serving, thanks for the recipe
