Baked Chicken Wings

I gave this recipe a 5 because its the best baked wing recipe Ive had so far. I will admit ,deep fried are better but not that much and baked have to be a little better for ya with a lot less mess. I cooked them exactly as written except I left them in the sealed bag in the refrigerator an hour or so in the mix before cooking them. When they were just about done I heated a little of my Anchor Bar Suicide wing sauce I order from Buffalo NY. Shook them in the sauce in a tupperware covered bowl and dumped them in the plastic baskets lined with parchment paper and served with Maries Blue Cheese dressing and Celery. I will make these again when the wing craving strikes.

Bar Harbor Cranberry Pie

Chef John's Italian Meatballs

Recipe yield was 31 meatballs for me. Used a small ice cream scoop so they were uniform size. Although not seared on the outside like pan fried they were very good and stayed together well in the sauce. Were going to do meatball subs, add some mozzerella with the left overs. Keep hands wet when shaping, makes them smooth and stay together. Will definately make them again.

Best Ziti Ever

Very good Ziti, make sure you dont add any extra pasta, it will dry it out especially when your reheating left overs. I like it creamy and cheesy and usually cook ziti, and lasagna then let it cool then reheat it again to serve. The flavor is always better second time around.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Not bad when you you feel like stuffed Peppers. Its a good solid recipe although I never find much of a variation in taste when it comes to stuffed pepper recipes. When you want stuffed peppers tis one will do it.

German Sauerbraten

Takes a long time in total but it was pretty good. i made his with the Red Cabbage and German Potatos. Recipes from this site. Not certain Id make it again mainly because of the time involved marinating but he taste was good.

Hot German Potato Salad III

I made these because I remember my Mom making it often for my Dad back in the 70's. I remember hating them and wishing she made mashed instead. Made them to go along with the Sauerbraten recipe I also ma from this site. The taste was the same except now I kinda like them. Its deffinately a different taste from scallop or augraten but a nice change, give em a try.

Yogurt Guacamole

Its not bad, definately better using yogurt then the alternative. I ended up adding a little salsa to the Guacamole when just using it to dip chips, It was worth making and I would make it again.

Apple Crisp II

This was very good and easy to make. I use Splenda in place of the white sugar, guess it might help a little. Ive made it a few times now, when I use MacIntosh I cut the sugar in half but not the brown sugar. I wait till the apples around home arent getting eaten fast enough and use whats left for the crisp. This doesn't last long at all.

Turkey Carcass Soup

I thought it was a good soup. I thought an hour to simmer wasnt enough ao I simmered the carcass all day and left it on the stove overnight on low. In the morning I strained out all bones . I also added a teaspoon of cider vinegar. I read somewhere that this helped draw the calcium out of the bones. . The broth flavor wasnt strong but better then oxo or bullion or the regual box broths out there. Its nice using everything plus you can toss in anything else you have kicking around in the fridge. I cooked the soup all day as well in the crockpot. Still have the other half in the freezer for later.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread II

Made this yesterday, one loaf is gone already, its really good. Im not usually a fan of banana bread but the chocolate chips changed my mind. I added an extra 1/2 cup of chips and accidently added an extra tsp of baking powder but it was fine. I will definately make this again, thanks....

Octoberfest German Potato Salad

I found my potatos were over cooked but even mashed the flavor was excellent. I will try this again with red potatos. Someone said they stay together better. Its even better the next day.

Pork Chops With Red Cabbage

Very easy & quick to make. Cabbage has a great taste with the cranberry sauce. I did add more cider vinegar because I like the taste. I would make this again.
