About this Cook
Cooking has been a big part of my life as long as I can remember. I learned to cook by watching my mom in the kitchen. As I got older, we switched places. I love trying new foods....especially baked goods. I regularly bake for friends and family and am always working to improve.
My favorite things to cook
Enchiladas, Latkes, Meatloaf, Lasagna. To bake: Cookies, Bars, Candies
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite tradition is the one around Thanksgiving. Cooking starts the day before. Pies, stuffing and the turkey are always started on Wednesday.
My cooking triumphs
I actually made a coffee cake that was just as good as my mom's (No small feat).
My cooking tragedies
The many other coffee cakes that I attempted to make. Needless to say, the recipes went away fast!

Buttermilk Pancakes II
Very easy recipe to make. The only change was that I added a little vanilla. These are the best pancakes I have ever made!

Clone of a Cinnabon
This recipe was perfect. I took the advice of others and let it rise in the oven. The only complaint is that there needs to be more cinnamon/sugar filling.

Cranberry Chutney I
My nephew chose this recipe for our Thanksgiving because he was tired of canned. It was easy to put together and the flavor was amazing (even his picky uncle liked it). It even gave our home a nice smell for a few hours. We will definitely be making this one again!
