Pumpkin Butter IV

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
I love the idea of this, but it is way too sweet. I cut back on the sugar and it was still to sweet. Next time I will cut the sugar in half.

Cream Cheese Filled Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Very good muffins. I added a little powdered sugar to the cream cheese and topped with pecans instead of sunflower seeds. I used pumpkin pie mix instead of all the spices and doubled the recipe. Will be my go to recipe from now on...

Apple Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
This was so easy and delicious! I doubled the recipe and used a 9x13" pan and baked for about 45 minutes. I didn't add nuts b/c of an allergy and added some oats.

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
I followed exactly, while these tasted good, they were not what I was looking for. They were not the fluffy yeasty roll I was looking for, more biscuit like.

Grandma B's Bean Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
I used chicken broth instead of water like some of the others recommended. Hubby said it was good, it was a little different than we were use to. I would make again, but leaving the potatoes out.

Quick and easy cookie. It didn't spread much, made a nice soft cookie. Kids really liked!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
My girls liked making these. They were still pretty soft, even after being in the freezer for 4 days, to dip. We shaped like a ghost and dipped in white chocolate and used mini choc chips for eyes.

Porcupine Meatballs II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
A good starting place. I added a couple of tomatoes diced, (they needed to be used), a small can of tomato sauce, an egg and some bread crumbs. I still had problems with them falling apart though. I baked in the oven too. Kids loved them! Served with mashed potatoes.

My family loved this. I omited the mustard, added onions and used a mix of colby and mozz. cheese. I also topped with french fried onions. Good quick and easy casserole.

Onion Bread I

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
We didn't care for it. It didn't have much of an onion flavor. It didn't rise very well either, maybe it was my yeast.

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
This was really good. I omoted the mushrooms because we don't really care for them. I did add a bit of cornstarch to thicken the gravy. Threw it all in the crock pot, kids even loved it. Will be added to the rotation...Yum!!

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
This is wonderful!! My 9 year old daughter made muffins and the only thing we changed was add a tsp of vanilla because I like it. It is now the only Banana Brad recipe that I will use!!

Easy Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
We didn't care for these at all. I did cut back on the baking powder as others reccommended but we didn't like the sweetness of them. My Hubby wouldn't even eat them. My kids did at least eat theirs.

Bean 'N' Beef Crescent Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
I thought this would be a great way to use up leftovers from taco night. It sounds great but, we didn't care for it. I think we would have liked it better with pizza dough instead of the cresents. We did serve it with sour cream. I'll try it again with some changes.
