Boyfriend Brownies

absolutely fantastic. have been on a best brownie hunt for a few years now and this might just take the cake. Fudgey yet chewy, perfect crinkle top. really doesnt get much better! substituted white chocolate chips for the 2nd addition step just to mix things up.

Donut Muffins

skip the dipping in butter part unless you really want the extra richness/fat. shaking them while still warm in a bag of cinnamon sugar works just as well and these are oh so fluffy and tasty! after the first few I actually skipped the cinnamon too and just shook them in sugar, felt the cinnamon overpowered the other flavors. also, if you don't have a mini muffin pan, just do a little dollop at the bottom of a regular muffin pan. they arent the same shape but they're delicious little ovals!

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

make as bars, spread in 15x10inch pan and bake 20-25 minutes. absolutely the best thing you will ever do for yourself. AMAZING. Also, sometimes I do half white chocolate chips....and have done all whole wheat flour, still amazing!

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake III

divine! added chocolate chunks and used 1 1/2 c coffee instead of water. Moist, dense, exactly a mix between pudding and cake. Only problem was the brown sugar hardened up immediately and was more of a crunchy topping...Not sure what i did wrong?

Veggie Pot Pie

Excellent pot pie, took it to a potluck and it got rave reviews. I omitted the cauliflower and mushrooms just because I didn't have any. Also substituted swiss chard stems for the cauliflower and arrow root for the cornstach. Perfect consistency I thought. Mmmmmmmmm!

sooo good but i've got to let out another secret: I grew up on grilled peanut butter, no jelly and let me tell you, it's amazing as well!! whole wheat bread, lots of gooey peanut butter, grill 'er up and enjoy!

i made this with everything but the meat (both the apple filling and the tomato paste/onion/pepper filling together. it was a huge hit at the potluck i took it to and i've since made it again. DELICIOUS! (i did make the dough 1/2 whole wheat and rolled it out in cornmeal--worked great!)

Aunt Mary's Eggplant Balls

5 star with some alterations: added onion powder and some basil and paprika. Chopped eggplant very small so it cooked quicker and the balls were more homogeneous. DELICIOUS! Especially with spaghetti sauce. Good texture too.

Acorn Squash Gnocchi with Parmesan Sage Beurre Blanc

ohhhhhhhhhhhh my gosh, heavenly!! I didnt have sage so I had to use a bit of rosemary and thyme instead but it still turned out AMAZING. Quite a simple recipe but a bit time consuming--worth it. It took more flour than the recipe says but I did mine all whole wheat.

nice and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. i added cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla and used half whole wheat flour. i also substituted yogurt for sour cream. will DEFINITELY make again!
