Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2002
This was very good and so easy too! I did leave out the red pepper flakes.

Very tasty and a great way to use up mushrooms. I did substitute the fresh parsley and used dried.

Basic Hummus

This is super quick and easy, and great for dipping veggies in. I reduced the oil to 1 tbsp. and used 4 cloves of garlic.

After one bite I tossed the entire thing and ordered pizzas. Trust me this is awful.

Eggnog Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2002
I made this for Christmas Dinner, and had mixed reviews. The sauce was far to runny for everyones taste. Most people said it was good but not with the strong eggnog taste that I had promised. My 3 year old loved it though!

Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2001
I changed this quite a bit and it we like it better now. I pushed the temp up to 350 and baked for 75 minutes so the top got nice and brown. I added 2 cans of mushrrom soup, 2 cups of sour cream, left out the green peppers added more onion and a little bit more then a 1/4 cup of melted butter. I also added 3 cups of grated extra old cheddar cheese.

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2001
Holy Cow! These are like a little piece of heaven in your mouth. We had a Christmas party and they only lasted about an hour. These do get kind of mushy when right out of the oven so I waited about 5-10 minutes to transfer them to wire racks. I also used Rolos as they don't sell any other kind of carmel candies in Canada!

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2001
Don't know about being called "SOFT" Christmas cookies. Mine were very brittle and crunchy. But they were still good easy cookies to make and they make so many which pleased my family, we keep them in the freezer so we will have them for a while.

My husband doesn't like pork anything, but he asked me to make this again the next night. Was one of the best pork chop recipes I have found.

This makes soooo much I sure hope it keeps for a while! I also blended it in the blender and it is fantastic, has now replaced our reegular homemade dressing!

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2001
Nice cookie, I used vanilla also, the real stuff not extract, they turned out very well. Next time I may use a more expensive flavorful chocolate, as the cranberry taste is so strong, you can't really taste the chocolate.

Chocolate Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2001
This is great. We added toasted almonds and it was fabulous. Only problem was that the corn severely stuck to the wax paper. I want to make this again, but have no idea what to do so that it won't stick or be greasy from cooking spray.

Unbelievable! My babysitter and her friend ate 15 of them in one evening. Too bad :( I had to buy more bananas to let them get old! Will make these once a week at least! Made tons of cookies!

Moose Marinade

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2001
This really did take the gamey taste out of the moose roast. Too much of a wine taste for our daughter. Will use again.

Snowballs I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2001
Out of 10 people that tried these only one liked them. They were dry and crumbly and the powdered sugar ended up looking like paste. these will not be on my Christmas baking list.

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2001
I found this recipe on this site 1/2 hour before my finicky in-laws arrived for dinner. This is only the second time I've had them over since they complain about EVERYTHING! They absolutley loved this, and my husband says it's the best dessert I ever made. I used a combo of apples Gala, Mac and Ambrosia, (we live in an orchard based city so we have all types) It was a perfect blend of very different apple tastes. Maybe a bit too much butter though. Thanks Penny you saved the day!

Apple, Cranberry, and Pear Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2001
This is a delicious crisp. I used bartlett pears and macintosh apples and it was very nice. My daughter wouldn't eat it however, even with ice cream put on top. But my picky husband loved it!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2001
I married into an Italian family, and they apparently had never had anything this moist and good. I am now required to bring these everytime I enter into their homes. They don't even let me cut them, they just pick them out of the pan! They turn them into savages!
