I have never made baklava or used phyllo before so this was an experience. First 350 degrees was too high, my laers fell apart and I think because the phyllo was too dry and crisp so I think 325 would be better. I felt there was not enough sauce and I did add a cinnamon stick and 3 whole cloves and a little orange peel to the sauce, but next time I would make 1 1/2 amount of sauce. Also a pound of nuts was too much, so I wouldonly use 3/4 lb crushed nuts, I used pecans, I also added some sugar...maybe 1/8 cup and a very little nutmeg and a little more orage peel.
