Funnel Cakes IV

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2006
Really good recipe! We are using this recipe for a scouting event. A great tip to dispense this, is to use a cleaned out ketchup bottle. Use your funnel or a funnel made out of foil and laddle batter into your ketchup bottle. Makes it easier to just squirt it in and the apperance comes out just as nice.

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2007
This was a really nice treat! I didn't use the oil to save on fat and calories. My children enjoy spraying with the I can't believe it's not butter spray and then sprinkling parmesan cheese or dry ranch dressing on top. Very good!

Roasted Chestnuts

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2006
This was ok. I think it needs a differnt spice rather than cinnamon. As far as people complaining about their fingers hurting. Take the nut out of the shell right when it comes out of the oven. Don't wait for them to cool down. It was a breeze taking the nuts out this way. My husband thought this was very dull tasting, but I thought it was OK. I will try differnt flavors next time.

Spinach Marie

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
This is so good! I did add my own touch by adding crumbled bacon. I didn't add salt, the bacon had enough in it. Thank you for the nice casserole idea!

Buffalo Chicken Wing Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
This was good. We like thicker soup so I just added an extra can of soup and adjusted the milk as needed. We topped the soup with crumbled blue cheese and served with tortilla chips. Everything tasted great and it's very filling.

Mom's Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
Very tasty! Simple and quick! My daughter said a 5, but hubby and I didn't think it firmed up as nice as we would have liked. I will do this again, but let it cook a little longer. I hope that may help with firming it up.

Pillow-Soft Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2007
I am pretty impressed with these rolls. After reading the instructions, I was a bit hesitant (Because of the refrigeration time), but these where really good. I carefully followed instructions. And making sure the Sour cream and water were at perfect temp. This is not a recipe for someone who wants to make a "quick" roll, but for someone who doesn't mind taking their time. I will be putting this in my recipe box! Thank you!

Fudgy Brownies II

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2006
This was very good and simple. I doubled the recipe and put in a 9x13 glass pan. I didn't have unsweetened chocolate squares so I used semi-sweet squares and cut down my sugar by 1/2 cup. These came out so fudgy. I made sure I didn't overcook, because this will effect the "fudginess" of the recipe.

Mom's Easy Bake Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
I thought this was very good. I cut down on the brown sugar a little bit and I used less onions than the recipe called for. I also used canned beans with no problems. Thank you

Cappuccino on Ice

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
OOOOHHHHH MAN! This was great! Yes, like others I used fat free sweetened condensed milk, but come on now, lets all read the back of the can with the calories and the serving amount, you know what, WHO CARES, go an extra mile tomorrow! It is so worth it. I was so full just after a half a glass. My husband was very happy to finish it off for me.

Allison's Cold Crab Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2007
This was a really good base recipe. I did add spices to our taste. I was pleased to find this recipe because I didn't have sour cream on hand and it called for milk instead.

Sweet Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2007
We enjoyed this pasta salad, however we did make changes. My husband and I tasted this without the sugar added and it was perfect. The sweetened condensed milk made the salad sweet enough for us. This is so versatile, we added lots of veggies and shredded cheese. Thank you.

Mom's Warm Milk

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
I have rated around 42 recipes and I have to say first that this is one of the very few recipes I have rated that I would give higher than a 5 star. I used splenda instead of sugar and I also tasted this cold before heating up and it was just as yummy cold as it was hot. What a healthy way to get a sweet treat and to get calicium in your diet. It was so soothing. My children LOVED it! I am very happy that I came across this recipe. I plan on making this a lot. Thank you
