About this Cook
I lack ambition, which is why I've posted no recipes. I also insist that I've perfected them before I give them out to other people. Now the question remaining is if I will ever deem them perfect.
My favorite things to cook
Currently I've been into soups and stews. I love how easy they are and how difficult they are to mess up! :D I also enjoy making deserts, but seldom do, for the good of my weight. I take great pleasure in creating healthy, low fat meals that taste great.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother is an amazing cook. I love making her pork roast, stir fry, chili, and braised chinese chicken with peanut butter.
My cooking triumphs
Nothing spectacular so far. My cooking gets lots of praise, but most of what I make is someone elses recipe. I'm pleased that everyone likes it, but I won't truly be proud until I make my own recipe that everyone loves.
My cooking tragedies
I recently made some soup with quinoa. The first time I made it my partner raved through the whole meal, the second time I made it I forgot to rinse off the quinoa... Yeah... It wasn't pretty.

Ground Turkey Soup
I thought that beef broth with turkey might be weird, but it just wouldn't be as good any other way! I followed the recipe to a T,but I think next time I will add onion and mushrooms, because to me few soups are complete without them. Beyond that, I won't use boulion cubes again. It gave good flavor, but was WAY too salty for my taste. It cooked really fast for me. By the time the barley was cooked the veggies were over done. It was still fantastic. I will most deffinetly make this again!
