Mexican Martinis

This one is worth all the effort, I used 4 key limes and 2 tsp. of Splenda sweetner, all that I need now is some beach sand to sink my toes into! Thanks for the great recipe!

Real Hummus

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
Our favorite restaurant serves hummus with a balsamic & brown sugar reduction: approx. 1/3 cup of balsamic vinegar, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, heat in a shallow pan until the mixture is reduced by 1/3 (approx. 5 min., use oven vent or open a window while doing this!). Pour over hummus, pour 1/4 cup of good quality olive oil, sprinkle of fresh cracked pepper & you have an elegant appetizer!

Lemon-Blueberry Martini

Very good but, I would cut back on the limoncello next time and muddle a few blueberries into the mix. Cheers & thanks for the recipe!

Fresh Rhubarb Pie

This is the third time I have made this pie this week, I use the Never, Never Fail Pie Pastry from this site and add a little extra flour to stop it from sticking. It always turns out better than perfect!!!

Chocolate Banana Martini

I am a firm believer that every martini should have a little vodka in it so... I added 1 oz. of vanilla vodka and and finished it off with a sprinkle of Cadbury Flake. Cheers & thanks for sharing Kristen!

Cranberry Martini

I am a diehard cosmopolitan drinker, and thought this one sounded good so I gave it a try. I used cran/raspberry juice and added a bit more juice than called for (2.5oz) and loved it! Cheers and thanks for the recipe.

Caramel Popcorn

WOW, this recipe was sooo yummy! Make sure you are expecting company before you make this or you will end up eating the entire mix yourself. I took the advice of the others and cut the butter in half and added a jar of honey roasted peanuts.

Creamy Parsnip With Ginger Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
I used whole milk instead of the half and half and a few canned pears, it turns out just like my favourite soup at a restaurant that I frequent. There is nothing better than a bowl of this soup on a cold winter day, thanks for the great recipe!
