Strawberry Cheesecake

brought this into a potluck at work, where we all had to bring in our favorite dessert. I won the first place prize. I have made it before, and spoiled the family with this cheesecake, now they ask me to make it all the time. --- I too only use half the cinnamon since I don't want to over power the crust w/ it.

Butternut Squash Supreme

very good. It was tasty, and unlike the traditional SWEET tasting butternut squash, this has a nice flavor! I will make again. I didn't change a thing.

Freezer Caramel Drizzle Pie

Very good, very rich. I liked that is frozen. It's delicious. I made it exactly as written, and brought one to my daughter's for Thanksgiving, and everyone loved it. I have another one in the freezer to take out at Christmas! I also thought if you want to make this without the pecans you could top it off w/ crushed Heathbar candy.

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

I'd say it was just okay. Maybe because I used a lo-fat cheese, who knows. As other reviews stated, it was lacking something. I thought the same thing. Too much rice too, that was all I tasted. I'd cut the rice down a bit before making this. And since it's layered, it didn't really come out layered. It just fell apart in the plate loosely.

Split Pea Soup

Made this w/ my leftover ham bone from New Years, I didn't change one thing. Brought some containers of soup to work, my mother, and my brother.....all said it was the best pea soup they had ever had. Thanks for sharing this recipe... oh, I loved it too.

Macaroni Ham Salad

This is a favorite of mine now... replaces all the summer cookout pasta salads. It also is a great way that I have learned to get rid of all my leftover New Year's Day Hams.... My family loves it! I follow it to the T in the recipe, however I have replaced the chopped sharp cheese with a different kind, such as Pepperjack, or Colby. The dill pickles truly make this whole recipe stand out.

Potato Salmon Patties

I didn't do anything differently than the recipes asked me to do. I wish there was some sort of sauce I could have put on them. (like the photo shows) But the question is what kind? Tarter sauce, cajun mayo? not quite sure. I over browned my first batch, all my fault completely, and the can of salmon had bones in it, so be careful, to pull them out. I will make this again. And it's light and quick.

Mexican Pasta

I made this one, and I followed it except I added shredded cheddar cheese and didn't have taco seasonings so I used Chili powder, and that was fine. I liked it, and I would make it again. Very easy.

Crunchy Chicken Casserole

This was good. I cut the mayo like everyone else said to do. It was rich though, and it did need some broccoli in it. It would have added a bit more substance to it. I wouldn't make it a lot because it is very fattening. But it was good to throw together quick and most of the ingredients are the types we all keep on hand.

Broccoli Quiche with Mashed Potato Crust

I thought that this was very good. I did follow the recipe for the most part. We had it as a side dish to pork last night, and the leftovers came to work with me today for my breakfast. I added paprika to the top. I also added an extra egg for a total of 4, and I think maybe next time I'll do 5 eggs. I didn't even taste the nutmeg. Next time I'm thinking a different type of cheese and mixture, such as swiss and maybe a little bit of garlic.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

I do have to say the prep time of only 20 minutes is exagerated, it took me more like 40 minutes to cut, dice, and peel all my veggies for this pot pie. But once they were done, and cooked. The rest of the pie came together quickly. SO I will pre-cut the veggies the night before to save time. Once this pot pie was done, and I did follow the recipe to a tee, it was EXCELLENT!! Very good filling and nice and thick. But not too thick. I will definately make again!

Pumpkin Cake I

Yummy, made it last night, brought it into work today. All my co-workers loved it. I followed recipes to the tee, w/ the exception of I left out the cloves. (which I didn't have on hand) I don't think it made any difference. Very moist and festive!

Sausage Cheese Cornbread

Okay I totally changed this recipe, but it turned out excellent. I am going to republish my "new" version. I used Bisquick instead of Corn Bread mix, I added hot pepper sauce to the batter. I used a shredded Taco cheese mixture of Cheddar, pepperjack, and Asadero Cheeses in the store bought package. And served it with warm pizza sauce for dipping. It was fantastic. Glad I tried it that way and hope you all do the same!!
