Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Based on other reviews I was prepared to alter the recipes as follows: cut out jalapeno peppers, double the green chile peppers, substitute 1 can of chicken broth with cream of chicken soup, and use 4 cans of beans w/ one can mashed. However, as I was making the chili I was worried about it becoming too soupy. I drained the cans of beans before adding them. After I added two cans, I thought it look like enough beans so that is all I used. I have five young children so I cut the cayenne pepper by 1/2. The thickness came out perfect...not too soupy, and it wasn't too spicy either. Will definately make again. Thanks for a great recipe

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
This is delicious! I was on here trying to find something to make for dinner with what little I had available. I saw a recipe for potato soup and decided that it sounded good. I have my own recipe that is delicious but we recently moved and I can't find it. So I did a search for potato soup and found this recipe. Delicious, quick, and easy! I read some of the reviews and adjusted as I saw necessary: I didn't have celery or onion on hand so I skipped those (I rarely use them anyway), someone said that the soup wasn't thick enough so I added a little extra flour to the rue and it worked wonders. I also added some red pepper because I like mine to have a kick. I also added the remains of a package of shredded cheddar cheese - this will make it creamier and help to thicken it up a bit.

Chocolate Zucchini Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
Almost identical to my mom's recipe which I have been craving for at least two years. Instead of sour milk I used sour cream and for the topping I mixed 1/4 c. brown sugar and the chocolate chips and sprinkled on top prior to baking. Fantastic! *I do think that the cloves are a little strong so I may cut the amount in half when I remake it tomorrow :)

Cherry Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
This recipe has been in my family for over 20 years. It is easy to make and delicious. If you are making it for the first time, follow the directions to a T. With so few ingredients, omitting or changing one thing could ruin it. When I make it, I double the recipe and cut the lemon juice back to 1/2 c. I also whip it on high with my kitchenaid for roughly 10 minutes. I have no problems with it not turning out.

Fudge Truffle Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
Extremely easy to make and it turns out fabulous. Definately have to cut into small pieces because of how rich it is. I've made it twice and both times I wound up with a crack on top. Next time I'll try it with a water bath. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
We made this for a luau birthday party. We served it along with tea and lemonade. I had an extra gallon of both left over and no punch. My son absolutely loved it and has been asking me to make it for him again (it's only been 1 day!!!) This recipe is definately a keeper.
