Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
This was excellent!!! So quick and easy to make! I used broccoli florets, 1/2 & 1/2 in place of milk, added shredded sharp cheddar cheese and bacon bits and just used black pepper. My family LOVED this...said it was just as good if not better than any restaurant!

Sweet Pretzel Nuggets

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
This is sooo easy, tasty and inexpensive to make (especially in bulk quantities for gifting) To keep the sugar/spice and oil mixture from burning the pretzels I covered the bowl with a plastic microwave spatter cover and stirred every minute...mine only required 3 -4 minutes total. (I used a plastic bowl and a wooden spoon...might make a difference )Cooled on cookie sheets and placed in gift tins. This recipe could easily be changed to use most any spices and seasonings from sweet to spicy...I added 1/2 tsp Apple pie spice HUGE hit!!!

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
I cut back on the dill and added powdered lemon peel to taste. Also a little cream cheese or sour cream thickens it nicely. The extra sauce is wonderful over top of angel hair pasta with steamed broccoli!!!

Banana Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
Awesome dessert! I like to egg wash the pie crust and dust with fine granulated sugar before baking the crust....what a difference! Graham cracker crust is a good choice too. Also, a little vanilla or almond extract added to the cream mixture is nice. Either way this dessert is a keeper!

Party Cucumber Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
I make these for holiday tea and they are always a hit! I stripe peel the cucumbers as fully peeled tend to get really mushy. I don't bother with onion, I add onion powder and garlic powder to the mayo/cream cheese mixture. I blot the cucumber on paper towels before assembling and they keep really well.

Biscotti

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
I made these for gifts at a Christmas tea and everyone loved them! I omitted the anise and used pure vanilla extract. I used a confectioners glaze with added almond extract from this site to coat one side and then lightly dusted with red sugar, wrapped several in clear gift bags and tied a greeting with festive ribbon...too cute and these were very delicious!

Dutch Babies I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
These were delicious! I made 2 dinner plate servings (it made for a much thicker pastry). I added 1 tsp vanilla, 3/4 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and used only 5 eggs to the mixture. Served them topped with cherry pie filling, dusting of powdered sugar and a dollop of cream. Mine stayed "puffed" and not "eggy". I will definately make this again!
