Cranberry Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
I made with the frozen meatballs. I mixed together the sauce in the crockpot, threw in the meatballs, and set on low all day. They were fantastic! We had baked potatoes and green beans with it and it was wonderful.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole III

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2006
We really liked this recipe. I cooked the brocolli, added half the curry to the sour cream and added 1/4 cup of milk to the sour cream mixture, also used penne instead of egg noodles. Very creamy and rich and couldn't imagine this dish with egg noodles. Will make again.

Chili III

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
I rated this five stars because it was so easy and quick and had good flavor. I used diced tomatoes and added the extra water. I also cut down on the chili powder for the kids sake. I really like this recipe and will make again.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
Best recipe ever! I followed the advice of one of the other reviewers and mixed the "wet" ingredients first then added the flour. Not lumpy at all. Put about a teaspoon of sugar in the batter to give it a little sweetness. We just put raspberry preserves on and rolled them up. Kids ate three each!

Really easy morning recipe. My boys had friends over and they liked it too. We omitted the salsa and put a little bit of taco sauce on the eggs and it was yummy!

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2006
Love this one! I also used less of the spices and I add just a tablespoon of brown sugar to take the bitter out of the mustard. Kids had seconds. I poured the sauce over frozen chicken breasts and covered with foil for an hour and took the foil off and cooked for about twenty more minutes. Quick, easy and yummy.

Romantic Chicken with Artichokes and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
So easy yet so elelant. Made exactly as stated in recipe minus the capers and it was perfect. Make sure you use a dry white wine, I used Pinot Grigio and it was perfect. Next make sure the artichokes are marinated. If they were packed in water the recipe would be runny and bland. Will make again. Kids liked it too!

Turkey Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
Very good and easy recipe. I modified slightly...added some potatoes (boiled before adding) and added paprika, poultry seasoning, and parsley (1 tsp each) to the sauce. It was a great way to finish off leftover turkey from the holidays.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
After some changes, this was AMAZING! I added boulion cubes to the water when boiling the chicken and vegetables and added potatoes. I also added 1/4 cup more of both the chicken broth and the milk for the sauce and added 1/2 tsp of garlic pepper, garlic poweder and poultry seasoning. I suggest brushing the bottom with egg white and baking for 5-7 minutes before adding filling. I baked at 400 degrees for 45 minutes and covered the edges with foil for the first 30 minutes. Loved this recipe! I made it again the next day, doubled it, and made three pies to freeze.

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
I have made this five times and it is wonderful. I altered it a little per others reviews. I used one can of tomato soup, one can of kidney beans, one tablespoon of chili powder, added a can of tomatoes with chilies, and half a can of water. If you like your chili really spicy keep the chili powder at two tbspns, but I had to tone it down for the kids. Keep it on low all day and you will love this easy and yummy chili!

Grilled Sausage with Potatoes and Green Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2007
I used a chicken and spinach sausage and added about 1/2 cup of italian dressing, double wrapped with foil and threw on the grill over the fire at the camp site and it was great! Easy and the kids loved the change from burgers and hot dogs. The people we were camping with were jealous of our wonderful meal. This is a keeper.

Chicken and Pea Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2005
Really good and simple recipe. I added another can of the chicken and I used a rotini pasta, that is what was in the cabinet, and it was great. Though after refrigerating and heating up the next day, it was dry. I would add another can of cream of mushroom and some more sour cream for left overs. It was yummy!

Pork Chops in Beer

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
I followed the advice of some other reviewers and tweeked the recipe a bit. I used 1 cup ketchup, 1 Tbspn BBQ sauce, 1 Tsp Worchestershire sauce, 3/4 bottle of beer, 1/4 tsp of dry mustard, 2 cloves of garlic (crushed), and a dash of cayenne pepper. I also seared the pork chops with some steak seasoning and then through everything in the crock pot with 1/2 a large onion. Put on low all day then served over brown rice and peas. Super yummy and kids loved it!
