Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
This recipe turned out quite bland for me. I added some cayenne pepper and some cheese, and that helped, but this recipe is not one I will make again. Also, you may want to add more chicken stock when you are cooking it as mine turned out quite thick. One thought to anyone who might be looking for a baked potato soup--this isn't it (and never claims to be), but I thought I would point out that the flavors are quite distinct.

Molasses Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
I prepared this recipe as written. I liked how the chicken looked when it was done baking--the sauce stayed on the chicken and coated it nicely. However, the main thing that we could taste was vinegar. My husband came in the house while it was cooking and could smell vinegar. Maybe this would be better using chicken broth instead of the vinegar?

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
Very good recipe. I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned and less onion and butter than called for--the taste was excellent. I never would have thought to add that much feta to a recipe, but it was great!

Sweet Polish Sausage

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2006
This recipe is gobbled up at potlucks. I didn't boil the sausage as long as indicated. I boiled maybe 15 minutes. It takes some of the grease off but didn't make it very tough. Chopped bell pepper is a great addition to the onion.

Broccoli with Mandarin Oranges

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2006
This was a good recipe. I would make it again. I did use sesame oil instead of the peanut oil. The sauce was a little bit bitter--maybe I cooked it too hot and burned the molasses a little--not sure. Overall, a good recipe.

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2006
I haven't ordered salmon in a restaurant since I discovered this marinade! I think I would be disappointed since I can make something so good (and so easily) at home. I half the amount of salmon but leave the amount of marinade alone. We pour the marinade over top of the rice after cooking. It does not make great leftovers, but is delicious the night of. I have passed this recipe on to several people.

Seaweed (Nori) Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
The consistancy of the soup was fine--the seaweed and the egg turned out well. However, for me, the broth turned out tasteless. We added some soup base that we use for soba noodles and that gave it some taste.
