Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
This was excellent-- I followed the recipe exactly except I cut the the hot sauce in half so that the kids would eat it without complaining. Not only was this delicious, it was so simple to make! Can't get better than that.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
We have tons of wild blueberries in the summer and this is now my favourite recipe for them. It's been a huge hit amongst my friends and family. I use brown sugar in the topping instead of white sugar but I don't change anything else. This is the perfect coffee time treat!

Chicken Murphy II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
I had leftover roast chicken and BBQ'd Italian sausage so I decided to use this recipe. I sauteed the onion and garlic like the recipes says then I added 2 garden fresh tomatoes, the white wine and my leftover chicken, sausage and the boiled potatoes. I added some chicken broth as well. I didn't have any peppers but I added a few red pepper flakes for flavour. I also omitted the cornstarch. The recipe turned out great and my husband and 3 kids all liked it (which is not easy to accomplish!!). This was a great way to use my leftovers and I will definitely keep this one in my recipe box.

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2006
This was excellent. I stuffed the chicken with 3 garlic cloves sliced up and two slices of lemon. To make my chicken practically melt off the bone, I preheat the oven to 500F and once I've put the chicken in, I immediately lower the temperature to 375F and cook for approx. 1 hour or until done. Half way through I also added sliced up potatoes already coated with salt & pepper and olive oil and they turned out great. Thanks for the great recipe--my family loved it!!!!

Greek Penne and Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
This was excellent! As another reviewer recommended I used marinated artichokes and sauteed the onions, garlic and chicken in the liquid from the artichokes. Instead of a fresh tomato, I used 3 canned plum tomatoes along with some of the juice. I also added a teaspoon of basil and I doubled the lemon juice. I omitted the feta because I knew it would not go over well with the kids but all in all, everyone loved this dish and my 1 year old and 2 year old even had seconds!!

Hearty Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
This is a great simple recipe for chicken soup. I find that poking an onion with whole cloves and adding it to the soup adds great flavour. Also, if you allow the broth to cool and refrigerate overnight, the next morning you'll be able to skim off any fat that has congealed on the surface and you're left with a great fat-free soup.

Delicious Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2006
It's hard to go wrong with this recipe. I've made it exactly as is and I've also altered the quantity and variety of herbs and it always turns out. This was the first bread recipe I've ever tried and my whole family loves it. You've made me look really good! Thanks!
