Lolah's Chicken Adobo

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
So yummy and easy! My five year old loves it too! The only thing I did different was instead of pickling spice (did not have any) I used bay leaf, a dash of cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
I made this using some leftover chopped apples that I had after making apple dumplings. My 4 year old son loved it. The only thing I did different is decrease the recipe(since I was using leftover apples), used white grape juice instead of water, and I used splenda baking blend instead of sugar.

I cook for 7 people so it is hard to find something that everyone likes. This mac and cheese was loved by all! They fought over the leftovers! Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
Yummy! Everyone loved this soup. My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy so he was a little bummed that I was making this rather than a stew. That all changed with the first bite! I used fat free half and half and added some cheddar and jack blend with the processed cheese. I also used fresh garlic rather than the powder. Thank you! Planning on making this for our family on Christmas Eve!!!

My whole family loves this dish! I make it almost everytime I make a Spanish dish. I usually use fresh garlic in place of the garlic salt. Thank you so much for the recipe.

I took this to a soup social and everyone LOVED it! It was one of the first ones to go! I did add an envelope of ranch to the pot just to add a little more flavor. Thank you so much! I will make this over and over!

Everyone loved this soup...except for son, he does not care for bratwurst. I did not have swiss cheese so I used sharp cheddar. I also added a little cream cheese. Yummy!!!

Baked Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
I made this with brown rice, 1/4 cup of splenda, and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. It was really good. I also used a mixture of sugar and cinnamon for the top instead of nutmeg. Mine had to cook a little longer ( I used a toaster oven, don't know if it had anything to do with it taking longer).

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
This is a good recipe for easy alfredo. I used can't believe it's not butter, fat free milk, and low fat cream cheese. I tried to use my regular recipe for alfredo sauce(it calls for heavy cream) and use the fat free milk...it did not work. This recipe turned out GREAT! My family prefers the original alfredo sauce but to this is really good without all the fat and calories. Used the sauce over chicken (no pasta) and it served 7 adults and 1 child.

I made these for 8 people. I used half gouda and half smoked gouda, real bacon bits, and spinach. I also used some cooking twine. Grilled them for about 15 minutes then finished them in the oven(about another 15). Everyone loved them!

Crispy Mashed Potato Pancake

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
These reminded me of the ones my Grandma used to make. I used 1 cup leftover loaded mashed potatoes (bacon, cheese, and sour cream) with a tbls of whole wheat flour, 1 egg, and onion powder. I used margarine instead of flour. They turned out great! My four year old, who can be picky, loved them.
