Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
yummm!!! so much better than the packaged ones!! i didnt have onion powder, so i just substituted w/ more garlic powder. The amount that this recipe makes is how much i used for 1 pound of ground beef. I also mixed in 2 tsp of corn starch before adding it to the browned meat. and added 2/3 cup water to simmer in.

Chocolate Rum Balls I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
I substituted the rum w/ rum extract (1 fl oz bottle) and added water up to the 1/2 cup originally called for. also waited about 30 min before rolling into balls so that dough would harden a little and was easier to work with.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
DELICIOUS! The house smells WONDERFUL! I changed a few things in the recipe. 1.) I coated the beef with the flour mixture and browned it in a skillet first with the onions. 2.) I increased the garlic to 2 cloves. 3.) I increased the beef broth to 4 cups(it just wasnt enough liquid for me)....and 4.) I added 1/2 C of Red cooking wine. Otherwise, follow recipe exactly! SO SIMPLE... SO GOOD!!

Greek Pasta Salad III

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
this is a GREAT recipe~~ I did not add the cherry tomatoes or the mushrooms. I did add chopped red bell-peppers though. I also switched the black olives for pitted calamata olives cut in half. I also added extra feta cheese (as this IS the best part!!).... it was WONDERFUL!!! thanks for the recipe!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
this recipe turned out toooooo salty! next time i try it i am sure that it will turn out to be ***** (five stars) because i will DEFINITELY decrease the salt to half. I also read from other reviews to add vanilla which i will do next time as well. THEY WERE FLUFFY AND BEAUTIFUL otherwise. :)

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
I chose this recipe because of its ratings, but it was not at all what i expected a PEANUT BUTTER PIE to be like. It needs MORE peanut butter and actually would have tasted more like a peanut butter pie without the whipped cream added in. This is what I will do next time. Also, adding a layer of fudge on the bottom make it great too!

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2005
This is an excellent recipe. After my cookies were done, (while still warm) I dipped them in powdered sugar for a different look and taste. They are VERY yummy this way! I uploaded a photo of them for those who would like to see what they look like this way. The powdered sugar melts into the jam, so it looks like there is powdered sugar only on the cookie part. Otherwise, I followed it by the recipe. Make sure not to overfill them with jam (this is what I did the first time,... and they overflowed onto the cookie sheet).Make the hole deep enough to actually hold some jam. GREAT RECIPE!

Chicken In Sour Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
This recipe turned out to be SOOOOOOO good!! I too added only half of the onion soup mix, and the saltiness was just right. I think it would be even better on chicken breast or chicken tenders. This is a keeper! Thanks for a great recipe!

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2005
I used 1.5 Cups of white sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar and added allspice and extra cinnamon the first time I made this. It turned out too sweet and the spices were too much for me. So the 2nd and 3rd time I made it I used only 1 cup of white sugar and used the amount of spices that the recipe calls for, it turned out WONDERFUL!!! YUM YUM YUM!!!!
