Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2007
WoW!! All the reviews already say how excellent this pizza crust is...but WOW. I don't have a pizza stone since this is my first time making pizza but I used round cake pans lightly greased and dusted with flour, to make four individual pizzas. They turned out wonderful. I didn't have any problem with the flour. If you knead the dough it adds that additional flour without making the dough too tough. I also let the dough rise a couple hours extra. MMM...THANKS for the recipe.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2007
I will not be looking for another recipe. This was amazingly tasty. ;) It reminded me of childhood. I did not need to make any changes but I did put the lemon juice in the freezer along side the syrup and water to get extra cold. I also added the rinds after squeezing to the 7 cups of water just to get the last bit of juice out. (I juiced by hand) I can't believe how great this is. Thanks

Russian Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
These cookies are wonderful. I went searching this year for the 'snowball' cookies my mom made when I was a child. I made a couple of changes and they were PERFECT. My family members told me they were BETTER than my mom's. I don't have a chopper so I used a bowl and cup to make the walnuts very fine, and added a tablespoon more sugar. (almost 1/2 cup) I also warmed up the butter in the microwave to make sure it was a little warm, and rolled the cookies in sugar twice. I rolled once straight out of the oven and another time well after they were cool. They turned out amazing. Thanks for the recipe!

Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
I have made this for the past few years during the holiday season. My family begs me to make it. :) I only make a few changes. I add more cheddar cheese, increase the amount of noodles (to about 2 cups) and use LOTS of Ritz crumbs for the topping instead of bread crumbs. If you are considering skipping the 'baking' step I urge you to reconsider. My family did not like it nearly as much. In fact my husband who usually devours the macaroni barely touched it. He asked me to make sure to bake it next time. Other than that it is a wonderful and simple recipe I will continue to make for years to come.

Super Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
I was pleasantly surprised with this recipe. It was very simple to make and my toddler had TWO bowls ;). I ended up using chicken tenders instead of turkey and I baked the chicken and then diced it and added it in with the potatoes and carrots. I omitted the frozen veggies and used 1/2 chicken broth 1/2 water. I will definitely be making this again soon!! Thanks for this recipe.

Fork Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
This cookie was extremely simple to make. I made them with my toddler and he was in heaven. He loved rolling and smashing the balls of dough. Unfortunately the cookies are not as simple to eat. They crumble so easily you almost have to pop them into your mouth at lightening speed. As soon as that cookie hits your mouth though... yummy! The taste reminds me a little of the snow-ball cookies my mom used to make for christmas when I was little. I just wonder how to keep them from crumbling.... These are definately worth trying. Just be prepared for the crumble.

Eggnog Cookies I

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
These cookies were easy to make. My toddler helped! They also tasted very much like eggnog. YUM! They could use something decorative... to make them look more festive but other than that they are a wonderful holiday treat. I will be making these again. (I added a bit more vanilla to my batch)
