Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets

Reviewed: May 25, 2005
Looooove these! They're always a hit at parties, and the hardest part about making them is cutting up the pear - not so bad!

Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2005
Not my favorite fish dish that I have ever made, but very good and very EASY. I will make it again. I used crushed garlic in the sauce instead of garlic powder.

Spinach and Pine Nuts

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2004
This is my favorite way to prepare spinach. I add golden raisins and salt to this recipe. If you are looking to cut down the fat, it is delicious without the pine nuts, too. (In which case I strongly encourage the raisins.)

Cottage Cheese Spinach Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
I can't believe anyone called this bland! Here is what I am thinking about that--I mixed my own Cajun seasoning and was very liberal with it--perfect!

Whipped Sweet Potatoes with Pears

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2004
This is very good! I'll probably throw in just a little more cinnamon and nutmeg next time. Also works with marshmallows baked on top.

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
This cake is easy and delicious! I decided to make a dessert at the last minute for a dinner party. I ran to the store to pick up the ingredients and found that I didn't even have time for Cool Whip to thaw. So, I bought white icing instead. Worked great! (I can only imagine how good homemade icing would be!) I took the suggestions below and used a straw to poke holes. After everyone moaned about how much better the cake was than sex ;) the first real comment I got was about how moist it was. Use a straw! The cake was a huge hit! So little work for so much taste!

Pears in Chocolate Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
I don't understand why you don't core the pears. This is a tasty recipe but could be easier to eat. Next time I will core them (and keep an eye on them in case they don't need 15 min. of cook time). Good chocolate sauce!

Easy Add-In Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
This isn't bad as a side dish, but it is rather bland (too bland to please as a main dish IMO). I will make it again with modifications...I'm thinking cheese soup (instead of mushroom) and herbed crutons (instead of crackers).

Potato and Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2001
I used 2 large potatoes instead of 6, and it tasted great. I don't think 6 potatoes would have fit in my casserole dish.

Italian Style Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2001
I love this. I think I am going to start leaving out the tomatoes though, as they tend to make it fall apart. Another thing I do to make it less watery is cook it uncovered. Overall, a great recipe.
